  1. I meant comments made on this board yes there is clearly a large element of crossover, so what said here certainly can apply there
  2. Great responses so far. I got to thinking and I wonder if some of mine, or other’s reluctance, might be from previous general comments made when a particular page publicly sells. Like “paid too much”, “can’t believe that page went for so ….(insert “little” or a “lot”), or “that’s not a very good example “ etc. etc I’m all for sharing, but it’s just as easy to keep a digital record on a phone or computer as it is on a public website ( for the record keeping part). that said I do love to browse the caf, so maybe I will post more down the road.
  3. The cap 1 buyer more of an action figure guy than crypto I think (I had a fair number of crypto buyers so maybe I was confused or rambled ). But he did pick up a lot of key books in 2021/22
  4. I have a caf account and I’ve posted maybe 50 pieces over the past few years, but I’ve been lazy or reluctant or both or neither to post more. Not really sure why, can’t quite put my finger on it. my question is, do you post everything or keep some/most/little private? And why?
  5. But won’t have the same seats available
  6. I forgot all about this auction. Cest la vie
  7. but have to admit, was still fun way to end up there
  8. i didn't really set any goals for 2022... I think I bought about 60 pages and maybe 10 covers, all featuring Silver Surfer my 2023 goal is really single fold from a purchasing standpoint (though I will still happily buy any surfer that strikes my fancy)...obtain a 1-18 series splash page featuring the Sentinel of the Spaceways!...and as my art collecting progresses and I realize that my "buy anything" approach has left me with some pages that I now, kind of scratch my head and say "now why did I want this?"... I might even, gulp, part with some pages that just don't "do it" for me...who knows...
  9. I didn’t like the face. Ow I would have bought before it was even consigned (the consignor is a friend and he did offer to me) but I did bid it to where I would have paid, but did not win
  10. Guess if folks don’t even have the courtesy to respond (I sent two inquiries of interest and neither bothered to respond ), maybe that says more than their pricing. Who knows
  11. Of course. Received no response back on 2 , 3rd was a fair counter but more than I wanted to pay
  12. There were 3 pages I would have bought if prices were just 15-20% less. And this based on my opinion they were 30%+ overpriced. But what do I know
  13. There are few pieces I’d like to own , but I too, feel like they are 20-30% priced higher than even I’d pay , and so they sit , for the moment , unsold
  14. Here is both Alex’s oa to nova 13 (2007) cover and a recreation he just completed. Wonderful job imo
  15. it now takes me where the link says...thanks
  16. I get email with new listings. I click those listings and it doesn’t take me to those listings , but to the site where I have to log in , type my search , and then I can see the listings. Seems not direct? Or maybe I’m doing something wrong ?
  17. Make sure parcel is sent insured. That way if lost or stolen, etc, no money lost as a claim can be filed
