  1. I could, but maybe I should show some Centaur or Fox first. Detectives are posted so frequently already. ok, I would go for some Centaurs, too! AMF please rick

  3. he did mention early tecs...just waiting for them to appear rick
  4. hello all... wow, as an AA fan, those are some absolutely stunning scans...would love to hear more about the depth of the collection, the titles it encompasses, etc...and, most of all, post those early TECS! rick
  5. Thanks everyone, actually Tax Refund Timely's is more accurate. This is the 2nd year I used some of my refund to pick up a few Timely's.I got the fever, and the only prescription is more Timely's!....... I am thinking Timely tax refund, as in just in time to make the payment arrangement! Ha! Ha! well said... rick
  6. smoking is a great word...I am juggling between a low grade unrestored, and a nicer looking restored as3 right now, myself....so tough to choose....but, i would choose yours!... rick
  7. as well you should be...unrestored in FN or better ?(I am guessing) rick
  8. hello all... except for Win and J Berk, probably not a lot of us collectors on the boards that have ever seen these in such nice shape...keep them coming! rick
  9. MF 52 is one of the Granddaddys of all GA...tec 29 (and I am a tec guy) is not even in the same game! rick
  10. being a "tec" guy, 29 would every so slightly trump a MF 54...but, the MF 54 is my favorite of the bunch, and iconic as well! rick
  11. Wow. If that's what your buddy likes, more power to him, but in terms of value he is likely screwing himself over. I think in a lot of cases, restoring a 6.0 or up would detract from the value, not to mention the actual cost of the restoration process. Very interesting. I agree...but, some folks collect to a different tune, value not withstanding...it is the old "eye of the beholder"....
  12. hello all... that is a good point....I typically would only have an ugly 2.0/2.5 or lower restored....a better looking 2.5 or better I would generally leave alone, unless the resto was for conservation reasons...but, to each his own, I know a fellow that has fn's and better worked on, because that "pleases" him, so I suspect the answers will be all over the board (litterally) thanks rick
  13. Link Billy's has much nicer pages too than the Cage copy. Just lovely! and, at 80000 beans, parker is sitting on a gold mine!...adoption papers are in the mail rick
  14. hello all... wanted to publicly thank Xavier Logan for this absolutely beautiful copy of MF 53...moderate resto by the "restoman" Matt Nelson (was a vg/fn before), and beautiful white pages... thanks! rick
  15. wow, still truly amazing the run you are putting together keep it up rick
  16. Hey Bill...with all seriousness...congrats! I know Action #1 is "the big book" for the hobyy, but for me, it is Tec 27. This IMO is the grail of all grails. Superman couldn't hold Batman's jockstrap ! but Robin could ouch
  17. hello all.. certainly some sweet books...love the tec 29! rick
  18. get that 27 back in a fortress, my good man...I have seen what your dog likes to chew on! rick It is locked up tight in the safe now. Thanks again for a wonderful deal on my all-time grail comic!! what is good for you, is good for me
