  1. Thanks! I get what I can! hey PT help a brother out, will ya? great group shot... rick
  2. Would it make you cry if I told you I paid ~ $300 under guide even with the 15% juice? It made me happy. Another book on my want list for more than 10 years that I can finally mark off. I thought you snagged a copy of it? hey wow, under guide!...very cool...I have 2 copies now, but did not get the bargain you got...one is a total beater (ok, got it under guide, but not by much), the other is lower vg grade, but it is still one of my favorites...would love a 5.0 or better! rick
  3. I really like your Whiz 25, one of my top 10 books of all time rick

  8. some of my post 27-53 run of tecs...mainly just buying "covers" of the villians...eventually will fill in the rest of the issues (going to try to complete to 225)... rick
  9. which one shiv, might be my old copy
  10. Thanks Rick - it's one of my favorites. It's the Indian Reservation copy (from Gary Carter & Family, off-white to white pages). As far as I know, there's only 1 pedigree copy of this particular book and that is the Cosmic Aeroplane (a 3.0, if I recall correctly). STEVE I had visions of completing AA 16-25...I got the 16, 17, 19 and 20, and then had to sell the 17,19 and 20 to finance some Tec purchases...but your 20 blows away the one I had, and that is likely my 2nd fav cover of the run
  11. Darnit, you outbidded me on this book Hope you enjoy the book as I thought it was a nice pickup. hello all... I must have missed that one , was it recently auctioned? rick

  15. hello all... the Pedrin conservatory used to make the Fortress...I got a batch from comicdey last month (thanks )...I believe it is hard uv reflective plastic, with mylar casing and acid free gaskets to support the book....I remember in SD in 1993 of 94, Chris (Pedrin) submerged a Whiz 1 in a bucket of water, while it was sealed in a Fortress... very strong, very sturdy rick

  19. to be honest, I have had the good fortune to read them all (except the 28)...I had multiple copies of all except the 28, and those other copies went to good homes, and they are all cracked, so I got to geek all over them last weekend (well, most of them, anyway)!...the collector in me wants to crack them all, but the financial advisor in me makes me leave them put (for now!) rick
