  1. Cap 1 is my absolute 'Grail' book... not that I'll be owning one any time soon!
  2. This thread kills me on a daily basis...
  3. These are my favorites from the first 50 issues but almost all the early Action covers are great!
  4. Had a funny passing thought today... I was thinking of my favorite covers from the first 50 Actions and they're almost all from different artists... 1. Fred Guardineer 2. Wayne Boring 3. Joe Shuster 4. Fred Ray This was probably a pointless post...
  5. Speaking of posting, here is my entry into this club.Thanx again Rick! Beautiful book Dave!
  6. Bought a copy of ASM 78 from Brian... nice book and the packaging was great! Thanks again!
  7. Bought 3 raw books from Ken and they arrived very quickly and just as advertised... thanks again!
  8. Nice job Dave! And I really like The Evil Groove Master! Great stuff...
  9. That CC copy is really nice looking and I love the blurb... Overstreet 40 NM- $225.00 Last 9.8 GPA... $13,000.00! I'm happy with my raw $30 convention purchase from 2 years ago. I'd love to have a nicer copy but these prices that Bats 227 have been getting lately for the 9.2's and up are a bit much for me. Would this book be even higher in demand or 'value' if Adams also did the interior art?
  10. Interesting topic and a bit out of my league as owning any of the 3 is a bit far off in the future I think. That being said, I absolutely love the cover to Wonder Woman 1... to me it's more iconic than the others. I'm not sure why I think that but I'm just drawn to that cover and can't wait to someday own one! Maybe it's the war theme or the fact that they used 'Doughboy' style helmets for the US troops (if those are US troops and not British)... and then you have the Germans with their Maxims, a really well drawn horse, a yellow cover that pops... I don't know. I guess it's just me!
  11. Wow! That Bogart looks great! I love the lighting and smoke...
  12. And he had the Flying Fist! (That didn't sound so good, did it?)
  13. FINALLY!!!! After 25 years I have acquired a Cleveland Browns Action Team Mate. I'm so juiced about this. You rarely see these for sale outside of the same handful that are always on ebay (typically Steelers and Cowboys). Then this past week a bunch showed up. Apparently seller's uncle passed away and he inherited these, which were in a storage locker. Amazingly, he had 23 of the original 28 teams and almost all were in really great shape. I missed out on getting more but I made sure to get the one I wanted. And to top it off I scored a boxed Atlanta Falcons figure from another seller for 1/2 of what the loose figure went for. 2 figures down, just 54 more to go counting the African American versions. Thanks for posting this (and the original posting too!)... I totally forgot about these and now I have to find a Los Angeles Rams player!
  14. Haganland has one. There's a pic posted of it in this thread where there's debate whether it should be a 9.2 or not. Debate aside, it's a really nice copy with white pages and I liked it enough to ask them if it was still available. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4914181 They didn't actually quote me price, but mentioned that the GPA averages trend towards $700 and that they would be open to fair offers. You can reach them at: haganland@hotmail.com Based on that book, what would this one be?
  15. I've found myself spending more and more time in this section drooling over these amazing books!!! Three copies of Real Life... WOW!
  16. Holy Sh..! Those are sweet!!!!!! I don't think I ever saw the cover to Sensation 5... Sharon, do you collect the Wonder Woman series as well or just Sensation?
  17. $25 for this lot today... About 95% of the comics look to be in the 9.4 range!
  18. Those are pretty cool! I really like the effect of Spiderman across the moon...
