  1. I'm sure he could have kept publishing Walking Dead for as long as he liked, I wasn't implying that it was unpopular. Hence my using that as a possible indicator of regular monthly sales.
  2. Event titles, one shots, etc aside, how many copies does a top ten regular monthly title sell these days? Although I'm sure some of those buyers are buying multiple copies, I'd reckon the bulk are single copy buyers. Certainly not scientific, but may at least get you in the ballpark. Like, how many copies does a non-event, non-"special" issue of Batman or Amazing Spider-Man sell these days? I have no idea. 50,000? 100,000? Walking Dead, before it went belly up, would have been a pretty good indicator as well, as that was one of the most reliable and popular books on the stands.
  3. Well, you're both top notch folks, as always. It is appreciated.
  4. Is the robe "flocked"? it looks fuzzy! I dig this. To me, Star Wars always feels a little Christmas-y, because as a kid, I always got some sort of SW stuff for Christmas! And this character in particular, I vividly recall getting the figure for Christmas. That solid red was always so striking. I have several SW ornaments for the tree, but hadn't seen this one. May have to track it down!
  5. Sounds like something someone making ILLEGAL tequila would say. Book 'em, boys!
  6. My Major Award arrived today, and I'm plum tickled! Thanks so much @DR.X for running the contest every year, it's a blast, and he is an A+ dude! Also, a good way to spot a boardie: even when shipping out free prizes, the items are packed in bomb-proof shipping! Thanks again, my friend! Also, thanks to @skypinkblu for donating this prize! I have to say, this is the perfect kind of present, because it's one that I've considered picking up for myself many times, but just never got around to it. So not only is it a thoughtful and generous gift, it's also something that I really wanted! I think I'm going to save it for my summer vacation reading, so I can dig in and blast through the whole thing. Thanks again guys!
  7. Man, the Thing books are great, but tough to track down. Oddly enough, when I do find them, it's usually in a dollar bin, or on a wall. Very little in between.
  8. Published Ron Lim, What If #6 pg 25, paid $500 straight up to the man himself!
  9. Belated thanks, @Tri-ColorBrian! I very much appreciate the info. I had seen this book on checklists for years before I ever actually saw a picture of one, so I wasn't even sure they existed for the longest time. That print run would certainly explain why!
  10. Still reeling from the holidays, so haven't had much extra toy cash, but the toy mall had a sale at several booths, so I had to pick up a couple of cheap things. I don't often buy newer Joes, but for $12, complete with figure, I couldn't pass up this Basilisk. Inherent design flaws aside, I've always loved the Snowcat mold, and the colors are striking. I had a couple of Snowcats and the Tiger Cat as a kid. Maybe someday I'll track down all of the different variations of this mold. I already have a complete set of Xamot/Tomas accessories (not shown) but didn't currently have the figures, so these seemed like a decent pickup to complete my set. Paint is ok, not perfect, but they're clean and the joints are nice and tight. And finally, my Secret Wars hoarding continues! I don't see Hobby often. I run into the other second wave figs (DD, Falcon, Black Spidey) fairly often, but not him for some reason. Missing the glider (which is where the money is) and paint is only so-so, but I just couldn't leave him behind.
  11. @comicwiz looks like BBTS has them for preorder. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Search?HideInStock=false&HidePreorder=false&HideSoldOut=false&InventoryStatus=i%2Cp%2Cso&Series=29&PageSize=20&SortOrder=BestSelling&SearchText=Archie update: if I'd bothered to scroll up I'd have seen that @archiecomicscollector Had you covered!
  12. Yeah, haven't seem them around now here at all! They've come and gone on the Target website a few times. NECA keeps saying more are on the way, so I'm not paying scalper prices for them...yet.
  13. And finally, a gift from a jolly old fat man with a white beard, by which I mean I bought these for myself!
  14. Some reading material from the in-laws! (They get me the latest Barks gift set every Xmas, a nice tradition!)
  15. Here's some cool stuff from the Missus. Some Ducks, some mutant babes. No complaints!
  16. Congrats, Patrick! I wouldn't be much help with the army men, but that is fantastic news about the parts and pieces. That's really where the money is with vintage figures, so many of those little parts didn't survive. I bought a big lot of weapons and backpacks a few months ago, kept the stuff I needed to complete my figures, and did very well selling the rest off. Plus, it was a lot of fun to sort through! Then again, I'm a weirdo who enjoys stuff like that.
  17. My gut reaction was 6.0 but man those colors are so purty, I think it could hit 6.5!
  18. The games were pretty basic fighting games, so I'm curious to see how they managed to wring so many comics out of it ha
