  1. The Wildcats 1 gold for cover price is a NICE pickup. I paid...significantly more for mine.
  2. I agree, grail as a relative term makes perfect sense to me. I got my art grail last month. I'm satisfied. I don't really have a comic grail. The funny thing about grails is how often they turn up for sale shortly after their acquisition.
  3. I'm not gonna lie to you, it's pretty fun to yell "yeet" and then wing something at somebody's head.
  4. I mean, yeah, I agree with your sentiment in general, but this is also a forum on a Comic Book Grading company's website, so it makes sense that the folks here...care about grading. Graded comics are a niche within a niche, but that particular niche, well, they like their grades!
  5. I'm curious about that. I liked the game but never read the books, wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in the omni as a blind buy. General consensus is that you chaps like it?
  6. Furniture, kitchen, carpet, these are all good investments to make in your home. Dating? That's just going to cost you more money down the road, my friend.
  7. It could be a couple of things: 1. Bulk submitters who are getting a group submission discount, just recouping costs or 2. Folks who overestimated the grade of their submissions, cutting their losses and trying to salvage anything at all.
  8. Unfortunately, I think you do. Wish I could help, but my hands are tied.
  9. Remember, if you love Star Wars, don't go see "Rise of Skywalker". Take the Cats Challenge! (warning LOTS OF NSFW language)
  10. YAY, I THOUGHT they were light covers, but didn't want to come out and say "nice light covers" and look like a boob if it turned out they were something else. Very cool!
  11. You know, it's the truth. You really never know which character Marvel is going to pick out of the Bag of Obscurities. Sell nothing!
  12. "Some day someone might WANT 20 copies of Dakota North #1! Can't let them go yet!"
  13. Oh yeah, I feel that too. "I guess I could sell a couple of these...I have ten of them. But then again, 10 is such a nice round number..."
  14. Ha, precisely so! "But someday I may decide to finish this run!" (editors note: I am never going to finish that run)
  15. Repro cards are getting scary good. I'm not sure if they can fool the graders yet, but it seems possible at some point. Wasn't there a big ruckus several years ago because someone slipped a faked vinyl cape Jawa past AFA? @comicwiz @Buzzetta? I may be wrong, but that tickles my brain for some reason. I am generally wary of carded figs for reasons given above, but also because of repros, unless I can verify that they're from an original owner collection. And even then, I don't like to pay much of a premium for them. I like carded stuff, I think it's super cool to look at, but I wouldn't put more into them than I could afford to lose it they eventually fell apart, or I guess the new concern, turned out to be faked! As for the market, I'm sure others can weigh in, I haven't dealt much in Star Wars for a very long time.
  16. Nice! The nosecone is tough to find these days. I always liked that jet, I need to grab one some day!
  17. Hi there! Unfortunately I think most of us who post regularly in here are loose figure collectors, as we share a fear of figures and bubbles deteriorating inside of their plastic grading cases (for example, lots of graded GI Joes out there have snapped in half on their cards as their o-rings disintegrated, and there's also the matter of Star Wars figures with "frosted" bubbles, among other carded collector fears), so I'm not sure most of us will be much help.
  18. Love it! I'm a Pac collector myself, I don't have one of these, though!
