  1. Ok, I gotta figure out how quotes work, apparently...
  2. If you click on the star or bullet point next to the topic, it'll take you to the first unread post.
  3. Ok, first job was turning off all of the notifications. Gah.
  4. I had to select the smileys menu, then go to "categories" and select "Converted", and then all of the old ones showed up. Seems to default to converted after you select it the first time. Haven't noticed anyone missing so far.
  5. I am willing to give it a chance, but the white background looks so bright, like someone shined a flashlight on the forums. Don't they know that nerds are habitual basement-dwellers?
  6. Do you miss it? I miss it. I mean, this place is nice and all, but, you know, it's not temporary.
  7. LOVE IT! The artwork was so awesome, the games could never live up to the boxes.
  8. Copper Age should be followed by the Chrome Age, which lasts up until Walking Dead 1, at which point the new Modern Age should begin.
  9. I'd pool the money and buy as many high grade copper Bats as I could get for the money.
  10. Good find, looks like a bidding war/battle of ego behind that one, guy even used a stock photo. Or perhaps they've bought vf/nm from him before that arrived 9.6? I know he's a v.good seller, just don't recall that he's a big undergrader (he might be). Two very low feedback bidders bidding up a non-key, not in demand book sounds a little fishy to me. Not sure what the angle is but it ain't a good one. Book is worth about $5 and can be had for less. Looks pretty sketchy to me . . . Also seller states they have the book in high quantity (along with hundreds of other dealers) so why on earth would you bid it up? I'm not a dealer, and I had like at least five copies of this book BY ACCIDENT like 10 years ago. I've given them away since.... That was a book that was so unwanted i passed on dozens of nice copies in dollar boxes of the years.... Passed on a copy in a dollar sale this past weekend.
  11. This +1000. In all of my years of attending various conventions, for comics, movies, video games, etc, the gaming folks are by far the stinkiest and most socially maladjusted.
  12. I'd agree with 1.8. More solid than your typical 1.5 (and no big pieces missing) but not as pretty as a 2.0. Fixing the spine roll may bump it to a 2.0, but I'd still feel solid at 1.8.
  13. What categories are you all using when you report this one? "Fraudulent Listing"? Just wanted to be consistent.
  14. It's no longer "original art", but it's yours, so do with it as you please. I think it's possible that you've shot yourself in the foot for future resale, but if you are buying it to keep, you should have the piece that you want. Looks great!
  15. Very striking error cover, really dig it!
  16. But...without post counts, how do we know who's winning?
  17. And waitaminnit...what about our post counts? Those precious, precious post counts!
  18. Nothing mindblowing, but several solid pickups at the $1 sale this morning at my LCS. Lots of $5-$15 books. Picked up a bunch of copper Batman run books, big chunk of very sharp IDW Transformers books (which are good sellers for me) and some Crossed and Swamp Things for myself. Here are some of the better picks. Haven't seen those Resident Evil mags for quite some time. Several later printing Superman books, big chunk of the Knightfall run, etc. Fun morning!
  19. Joe was a pleasure to deal with. Friendly and easy communication, fast pay, I'd happily deal with him any time. Thanks again!
