  1. Worked for me!!! Did cart for all items and had 20% off. Didn't take any $ off any S&H, but I'm good. Bought some stuff from NYCC since I couldn't fins a cheap hotel to stay at the last week before the con. Very happy. Thanks.
  2. 6.0 or higher. I don't like marvel chipping, date stamps or the big one for me is I can see the staple on the front cover. I would take a 5.0 or 5.5 with out my eye sores than a 6.0 or higher with these.
  3. PM sent the other day. Hit me back. I'm still in need!!!
  4. If anyone has 2 adult tix and a child for sale for Sunday let me know. I have never attended this show and now live on the east coast. I have attended the Baltimore Con, Awesome Con and other east coast shows this year. I'm unable to attend any other day of the show except Sunday due to work. I usually buy from some of the dealers here when I attend shows at SDCC every year as well. Thanks. Nick
  5. Hit every booth and bought some great TB for 5 for $20. What a deal. Also great $1 modern books which I slabbed for on site cgc grading. Can't wait to get them back Sunday. I love it.
  6. Heading out for the event. If you see me, say hello. I don't get to meet fellow board members often. I have a Green Arrow shirt or Flash shirt and a I Love Stan Lee hat. Agent 007
  7. I have several SG-1 & Atlantis CGC SS books as well. A big FAN!!! Wife and daughter as well. I would say SEAN CONNERY. I have never seen one. Also, I placed a head hunt out on the boards as well to pay $1k for his signature on a SC43 book, any grade. Heck, any CGC book I would take still. $1k offer still stands!!
  8. I think there is a lot of room to grow. A lot of HG copies, but not a lot have been listed to sell as I have been tracking sells on Clink, CC, HA and other sites if they sell. Also, SS HG there isn't that many. I paid well above CGC GPA for the 9.8 CGC SS ($1400) because of the clean artwork on the cover. It isn't listed on GPA. I don't mind paying a lot for a book if I really want it. I purchased it off a boardie who took it off EBAY for me. If speculators buy the book and the movie does very well or even spins off a character, the book will increase. Perhaps even animation since it is for teenagers (I can dream)? I consider this book one of the sleepers and an affordable price. A lot of 1st app in one book. They don't have these type of 1st app all in one book anymore. I also love the great black cover and front cover work. Also, what back cover looks as great as MGN4 IMO. Best. Nick
  9. Hello, I'm looking to add: X-Files, IDW Publishing 6/16 Example: #1, 2,3.... and X-Files: Season 11 Thank you. Nick
  10. Good to know. Guess I'm on a hunt for those as well for my collection.
  11. 5 Copies!!! Holy Cow. Great looking set of books you have there. Also, I see a variant $5.95?
  12. Showtime!! I have cash ready and all packed. Fly in Wed and out Mon! Can't wait!!! Let the FUN begin.
  13. Nice Book Dr. Zen. I love it!! I started collecting a few years after this came out, around 1985/1986 (Crisis & Secret Wars) era. I recall seeing this book for about $10 in 85/86 and dreamed of owning it. I always thought it was a cool cover. Wish I still had the copy I purchased back then. I'm hoping at SDCC I find some RAW books to buy and perhaps find any CGC SS Stan Lee.
  14. Thanks. I will drag my books with me on the plane and try to watch him at an event.
  15. Thanks FlyingDonut & StingerMck!! For a family to go I would be broke at $1k a pop.
  16. Any chance for Stan Lee CGC sigs? Is he still showing with his recent spouse's passing?
  17. Hmmm. Any chance for CGC signings? Photo Ops? Or just this concert?
  18. They have in the sails pavilion actors and then a lottery in the AM for TV shows/movie casts. Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham, etc...
  19. Anyone know if Stan Lee has cancelled his SDCC appeaearnce due to his wife's passing? Thanks.
  20. Is Stan Lee still going to SDCC and able to sign books with his recent spouses death? I do not want to bring books to SD if there is no chance for him to sign anything. Thanks.
  21. I love SDCC!! All comic book related stuff from TV SHOWS to Movies to Toys to Comic Books. I love the Vibe and atmosphere everywhere. Thousands of great people go each year. I always drop stuff at CGC, buy stuff at Dale Roberts Booth and A-1 Comics. I also buy from other booths but thats what I like to do. I'm also loyal to D.R. who sold me tix one year when I didn't obtain any in the lotto. Always loyal to his booth 1st when I go. I also bring books to Clink to sell for me in upcoming auctions, I always love that I get a check in hand for 50% of what the sale may be and get the rest when it sales. I only dislike some of the booths like Marvel, to get a chance to draw for a signing when they open. The line is always long when u get in and already given out. Booth people are in line or others who found a way in. I always see the same people up there getting stuff signed and taking/talking to long to chat with people like they know them, causing people behind them not able to get anything signed because of the time has expired for the VIP. Desert Wind (Mr.C) is always a violator at the Marvel Booth always doing that.
  22. I'm glad. They sucked. Overpriced books, poor customer service. Variant covers they had they marked up, went to other dealers who sold it at the face value. How comic book dealers should do it. Mile High was a joke. That is how I feel.
  23. Thanks for sharing. Great glossy cover!!! Welcome to club. Only 3 of us for now. More to join and share I hope.
  24. Bought off HA a few weeks back. I love it. Purchased it for a steal. My oldest OA I have (early commission) Creator of Tracy: Chester Gould - Tracy Sketch Original Art in Big Little Book #W-707 (Whitman Publishing, c. 1930s) Condition: FR. The Big Little Book #W-707 "The Adventures of Tracy" is the very first Big Little Book. Overstreet lists it as "Scarce". To make this one even more scarce, it has a fantastic Tracy original art sketch on the inside front cover and a personalized signature by his creator Chester Gould on the fly page. Larry Lowrey's 2007 Golden Age of Big Little Booksreference guide states that this book was "...published just before Christmas of 1932. Evidence of the release time is found in two authenticated autographed copies of the book, given to the children of friends of Chester Gould at Christmas. Autographed copies are ultra rare." This book itself is in Fair condition, with a broken spine, corner wear, a loose last page, and other signs of wear. Tracy is an American comic strip featuring Tracy (originally Plainclothes Tracy),[1] a tough and intelligent police detective created by Chester Gould. The strip made its debut on October 4, 1931 in the Detroit Mirror. After one year after being created, this is the earliest known non-comic strip illustrations created and signed by the creator. This book is a hand drawn sketch of Tracy on a very early Whitman Tracy book. There are only two (2) known books with a sketch, this is one of the books.
