  1. It was definitely on my want list for a long time. I've always enjoyed the covers which depicted the Nazis "employing" monsters and ghouls in their battles (like the Pocket Comics I posted above and others like Amazing Man #22, Sampson #6, Mystic #8, etc.).
  2. Nope, not tan on the inside. And I agree, always surprises when buying raw. The last raw D copy I bought from HA came back 1.5 higher than the HA grade. The pendulum swings both ways.
  3. Grader’s notes said “light cover tanning, light spine stress limes, small, very light crease right top cover, very light foxing cover.” Admittedly, I’ve only subbed a few dozen raws purchased from HA, but this is the first one I’ve had that graded several grades lower than the HA grade. I’ve always found them to be within a half grade either direction.
  4. It wasn’t that long ago that CGC hammered this comic book for a dust shadow. Heritage graded it as a VF+ and Metropolis called it a VF/NM. Graded in January and the grader’s notes don’t note any hidden defects. So in early 2021, they did count a sun shadow as a significant defect.
  5. That was definitely in the next tier.
  6. My 1 to 5 was easy (presented alphabetically). There are about 20 comics that could fill the 6 to 10 slots. It was just too tough to narrow down the next group. Can't do it.
  7. A very good transaction with Robot Man. Look forward to more in the future.
  8. Not all on you. I could have pushed you towards pressing them, but I didn’t.
  9. Take. Haven't read an Atomic Knights story in a while.
  10. I was able to pick up a couple of pedigrees. It helps if you go after books in a title that no one else cares about and that features a character that has faded into obscurity. These will probably take off when the Don Winslow movie gets the green light.
  11. When I was completing the Hitler cover run, I was focused on #3 and never really paid much attention to the other books in the Arrow series. #3 is not a common issue, but it certainly wasn’t one of the harder issues to acquire in the Hitler cover run.
  12. I would love to get some opinions on this cover. I purchased this from the LCS, read it once, and it's been in the long box ever since. Check out the steel girders that Thor is standing on. Notice the unusual shading. I've looked at other scans of this issue and I haven't seen any that are similar. I don't think it is a transfer stain because it is limited to the girders and doesn't show up on the white areas of the cover. Color touch? There is no bleed through. What do you think? Just a quirk in the printing process?
  13. Did CGC change the label color again for pedigrees? Is this the new pedigree label color? Nice book!
  14. Price $400 (for comparison, there is a 5.0 on eBay for $450) For those of you that are looking for a beautiful example of CGC Newton ring goodness, this one is loaded with them!
  15. Price $550 (for comparison, My Comic Shop has a 4.5 for $499) Last of the humor run on this title.
