  1. These two would be a stretch, but Blue Circle #3 shows Hitler as a frightened octopus. You could argue that this is a furnace made to look like Hitler and not actually Hitler and that would disqualify it.
  2. An interesting subject and I would bet there are lot more splash pages with these types of demonic depictions of Hitler, but the only other one that I can think of is Headline #8. Prize #32 might barely qualify. He is somewhat spectral in the image. On that cover, he just appears to be a frightened ghostly image, but his features aren't altered.
  3. Some more comics that I thought I would get slabbed.
  4. Not the main focus of the cover, but it does compare Timoshenko to George Washington.
  5. Are you talking about him or me? Doesn't matter. Both would probably be the correct answer. In preparation, I'm stockpiling instant ramen.
  6. I clicked on the link and my wallet disappeared! Thankfully, a deposed Nigerian prince is going to provide me sufficient funds to just buy the entire collection. Just a few details to work out, then the rest of you can quit looking.
  7. Only four on the census, but may just be due to a lack of collector interest. Still, Schomburg packed a lot into the cover, including a blood dripped swastiki.
  8. You and I do share many similar comic book interests. SO QUIT BUYING ALL THE COMICS I WANT!
  9. Had a box of stuff come back from CGC yesterday. A few highlights:
  10. When they were eating, it's where Richard put his pizza. Didn't want to mess up the table.
  11. This one because I think Everett did some excellent work here: This one because of Solomon Grundy: This one because of the rare "Bucky in bondage and Cap to the rescue" theme: (Wait, what? It's not rare for Bucky to be in trouble? Oh well, too late. It made the list.) This one because Edgar did such a nice job of preserving it: This one because I am contractually obligated to post a Hitler cover:
  12. As we've discussed in the Fiction House thread, all the early Rangers have low census numbers. 5 copies 4 copies
  13. Is this a limited edition or a variant?
  14. Andy, I think you could probably erase that and really make that book look good. Or just doodle over the writing.
  15. This one because it is my favorite Hitler cover. This is one because it's a Cap #1. This is one because it set the table for all superhero groups to come. This is one because it blazed a trail for kid sidekicks for decades. This is one because I just love this cover.
  16. Or don't fall asleep sitting at the computer, waiting to place a bid, and wake up a couple minutes after it closes. Not that that's ever happened to me.
  17. That's a good one. Not only does it have the SN in grease pencil (which seems to be a common practice with the other Boy Comics I've seen from this collection), it's got LM for Leroy Mackie in pencil. And the date stamp. Triple threat and very cool. In general, the Boy Comics I've seen from the collection have all been well loved and well read. Perhaps a favorite of the original owner.
