It's been a "BeachBum" week...60 books sub'd, 9 of them ended up 9.9 or higher...

We went through that in the, now deleted, thread. People asked real, concrete, cogent, and reasonable questions and they were responded to with snarky, insolent, and defensive responses that were VERY short on answers and long on pot shots, cross accusations, and foggy logic. When I specifically pointed out that he was using the "Comics4Kids" banner in his auctions and right next to them he was selling Traci Lords Porno Movie posters from films where she was a minor (yes that's child porn) and that the movies that were the subject of those posters were seized by the FBI as child pornography he decided to call them "art" like the Maplethorpe images that caused a ruckus decades ago, and defended the movie posters as artwork. He blew right past how auctions run under the auspices of helping children might be hindered by selling, at the same time, posters from films that turned out to be child pornography. Runs auctions for kids, runs auctions for this stuff, side by side, no qualms, not a second thought. He actually thanked the thread, for all the hits those posters were getting. Classy, mature, and utterly and devastatingly unaware of how his words were torpedoing any shot he had at being taken seriously. The thread has been since deleted, to the benefit of Mr. Moore. Anyone who saw it probably had their jaws drop with the same "thud" that mine did. Now he wants all questions and correspondence to be completed by email only. If I were him, I would too...publicly he's taken a wrecking ball to himself, might as well do it in private too. :cloud9:

The buyer only had to pay $5 shipping. I had one who hasn't paid and it's been over a month. I sent out a reminder bump eleven days ago. I'm not looking to put anyone on any naughty list, but I just want to know if somehow it gets lost in the my shuffle, will I get into trouble. I figured one reminder for $5 is enough and two is harassment. I have like four different hobbies and I might be giving comics a break as I grade my next Registry Set. Thank you for your thoughts. Jerel I'd send a note and give a deadline of paying the shipping. If they don't pay the shipping by the time you specify, I don't see how you would be up for any board flogging over free books. I would just send a note that says something like, "Hi! I don't want to drag this out, so if you could pay the shipping in the next three days I can ship the books out. If not, no worries, but the books will go back in my collection and can't be claimed as freebies at any point in the future."

If you submitted it yourself did you see the tape stain? Did it run the whole length of the page? That book would look great in mylar

My experience with DIMEBAG_D is the same Sent payment 11-1 no books as of the 16th He responded to a pm that they would go out tomorrow (the 17th) No response to email or PM and I have opened a paypal dispute He has also not responded to that complaint so I wait on paypal I hope it's not a case where something is wrong. Like I said, he seems like a nice person. We'll give him a chance to respond. However if its not the case, it could merit more than just the PL given the multiple offenses. I got my refund through paypal, but not a word from Dimebag_D. PM's look to have been about a week and a half ago. No comments were ever posted here or in the PP dispute. I'm going to place him on the PL. Hopefully everyone esle was able to get their money back through paypal

Any of the Grimm fans should know how hard this one is in high grade. All the #30 retailer books were shipped to Comic Oasis in MI and the Comic Oasis books were sent to the retailer summit in Las Vegas. By the time the books were shipped across the country twice to get to the correct hands, very few nice books remained. I went through all the remaining stock that Comic Oasis had to find this one. Next highest grade is 9.4.

I'm pretty sure his board name is less a reference to chronic and more an homage to Dimebag Darrell (see avatar).
