    The special Agent that I knew with them have now retired but they were absolute rockstars. 
     

    With the number of victims let’s hope that they may take interest in this.

     

    Again we have a legal system not a justice system but every bit helps. The more victims and the greater the amount hopefully equals more traction on an investigation.

    I am going to call her tomorrow and Articulate why it should be against Mike and not the LLC. A judgment against a bankrupt LLC isn’t worth the time.

  3. The book is actually in worse shape than when I sent it to him. It had brittle pages and it looks like he broke parts off so he could attempt to cast in new material. This didn’t work and he just stopped working on it.

     

    Any other victims please file a complaint with the USPS postal inspectors. They deal with Mail fraud, Cybercrime etc. as the books and payments were shipped across state lines by the postal service. I believe Mike also used the internet to steel or defraud. I was told this fits into their jurisdiction.

     

    Mike needs professional help and Jail time. Hopefully he can be cell mates with the tossed Salad Man.

  4. I just logged on to this site today as I received a package in the mail today of the Flash 1. It is all separate pages with various states of restoration. 
     

    1. I would like to personally thank everyone that has been working and helping out with this unfortunate predicament. 
    2. I am glad that after 14 years and $5000.00 paid to Mike for a complete restoration, I now have the book back. At least pages from it. I am honestly scared to look at them. At least in the last 14 years I have tried to forget about it. 

     

    when I sent it to him it was in a graded CGC case. Now I have sort of a book back. Does anyone recommend a reputable restoration person that could help me?

  5. It is totally disappointing. He has talents besides taking advantage of people. 
     

    im speculating but I’m guessing he has taken $100s of thousands for work not competed. 

     

    As with most fraudsters he is a good talker, he also doesn’t believe he did anything wrong etc and tries to rationalize his actions. 
     

    unfortunately he has minimal assets, I can’t find any evidence of a current insurance policy. I will do what I can but unfortunately you can’t get blood out of a stone. It is sad to say that his actions are small and all to common in today’s society. 
     

    I am hoping that everyone gets there books back and not in different parts. I know  the money is long gone, I can accept that, as I have been more than patient for almost 10 years. 
    I just really wanted this book to pass along to my kids in the future.  Hopefully I can find someone credible to finish this restoration.

    No surprise you haven’t done much, you have not honoured the contract and have taken advantage of me. I’m confident my insurance company will definitely be taking action against you. The payment was made to you personally not an llc that you can try to hide behind. However this is not the place to make threats of criminal or legal action so I won’t.

     
     
    Please inform your insurance company that you will be receiving papers. if you actually do have the insurance you claimed to have. However I am very doubtful.

    Ps hopefully you do remember what my career has been for the last 25+ years…. If you look me up on LinkedIn you can see my connections in Law enforcement all over North America from the various fraud investigation conferences that I have attended over the years.
     
    Sleep well. I bet it definitely sucks knowing that fraud investigations can take about as long as you have had my Comic. I couldn’t imagine the stress of wondering every day, when am I going to be arrested…

  7. I am the person with the Flash 1, that I paid for a complete restoration close to 10 years ago.
     
    I have been in contact with the police and the state  https://justice.oregon.gov/consumercomplaints/ Consumer Protection Fraud investigation department. 
     
    Mike definitely has an interesting past from around 1997…..
     
    I have definitely been taken advantage of and defrauded.
     
    unfortunately Karma is all that I can hope for, along with maybe Mike getting a small fine and a few hrs in prison. Unfortunately the system is broken. 

    I had a better copy of this rare comic that was stolen few years ago too. I guess it is just the way it was ment to be. Bad luck and definitely Sucks to be me. But life goes on.

  8. He has had one of my flash #1, books along with $5000.00 paid for the restoration. Paid in 2014. Minimal updates and different excuses. Mike is a very personal person and I wish the best for him. However I am skeptical  I received a call today from another victim. I don’t know how they had my name and contact information. They asked me to file a criminal complaint. I sent Mike an email requesting a call asap. Let’s hope he is ok and I get my $100,000 book back. Just went back and checked my records. Sent book in 2014. I made the check out to Mike personally and Hero Restoration was not listed as an llc at this time.
