Awesome!!!

"Happy New Year!!! " to all the Showcase 22 members and contributors to this club. Showcase 22 had a tremendous price appreciations and awareness in 2009, It's amazing to see all the copies in all grade being absorbed almost instantly if priced right. SC22 is setting up great for 2010. I see a 10-25% growth for this year and a bigger increase in 2011, so if one wants to own it for his or her collection...now is the time to buy. I see fewer and fewer submissions to CGC this year compare to the growth we had the last year. Also, this year, I see very few high grades (6.0+), and especially any copies above 7.0 being subbed..The only copy above 6.0 in the market place is the Mound City upgrade 8.5 copy and let's see what this former 8.0 will sell for. Nonetheless, "Will there be a 9.2 that will surface?" Good luck everyone and may you live long and prosper!

I think anything under $1800 is a good deal for a 7.0 with at least cream/off-white pages. Since your 7.5 sold for 3K, it may help the 7.0 a bit. 1960's Green Lantern seems to do quite well in high grade. 7.0s should move up a bit higher than $2200 closer to the movie, so you are fine if you only paid $1600 for your copy. Like other DC SA "#1s", it picks up in prices closer to the 8.0 mark. That being said, I should have listed my copy at $3500 in hindsight just to see what would have happened. I know that Metropolis has a copy on their website for $3100, so pricing above that might have been pushing it, but my copy did sell much faster than I expected. That 7.5 raw they have looks more like a 7.0. They also have a 7.0 graded with off-white to white pages (nice PQ) for $3000. I wonder if the buyer who bought your 7.5 on also bought the SC22 6.5 for $6100.

Thanks for doing the detective work! It's like bidding for a 8.0, but paying for a 8.5. As least we know some of the comics from the Mound City will be upgraded...like this one.

Also, those that means...my Mound City BB28 could be a 7.5, hmmm...Peewee22, your SC22 7.5 is unique because of the PQ and no one can change that.

It's amazing how it achieved an 8.5...but as least we all know the history. As peewee22 would state "still no copies >9.0 and it's still the same book with a different label".

The Comiclink CGC 8.5 is the Mound City copy. It got regraded and receive an 8.5 this time. Seems like a few high grade copies are in the market, but the sellers ain't letting in go cheap. Wow, there is a $5500 bid on that 6.5 already. Here's a chance for someone to own a high grade 6.5 and a super high grade 8.5!

Checked the CGC number and indeed it is. It's looks like a much...much...better scan than before the last time it was offered. That's a sharp looking copy!

I know DocJoe mention he may want to auction his 8.5 crm/off. If it's not DocJoe than it's the Nicolas Cage copy. If it's not the Nicolas copy than...? Most likely it is DocJoe's copy.
