  1. Book was actually listed Friday, but was edited recently with new pictures, and a lower price,so it must have posted in the "New Featured Listings" again with the edit. Definitely new pictures today up. Looks like the old pictures bloated up.
  2. Good question.... Who bought the clink "Four Color" 24? Did the 22,23,24 all sell to the same person? I don't know much about that Clink sale... I don't know, but it was mentioned here before that a high grade DC collector. I would love to see a better scan of the SC24 9.0 on CL right now. If the seller can provide another scan which is not the original scan from the Ebay...then maybe we all can determine a bit better. For now, I will presume the book has weak PQ. There is a Scan on that listing..below the pictures. I meant besides those scans and the bottom scans is very blurry. Yea..i agree. Not the best scan. On a side note,I just bought a 22 on ebay.... I've been looking for another affordable copy... It was just listed....i had to do it..impulse buy.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=220713399391&si=KnP2IfzNP%252FyZ9n5xYyr9dwGEQPY%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT Looks like the seller priced it at guide. Great score! Hey, if you didn't buy it, someone else would have.
  3. I thought you knew. Only 22 and 24. Wow...that 23 is a killer copy and mysterious.

  6. Without an upgrade it is But we will know what it was...hmmm BB28 8.0 now 9.0.
  7. The Bethlehem 9.0 (graded in 2000) is a cream pager and the Four color copy is an off-white. So this copy is the weakest 9.0 in terms of PQ.
  8. The PQ is less than ideal though. the cover exhibits no characteristics of a book with light tan pages (if that makes any sense) such as That back cover is very White...and no tell tale signs of interior cover tanning showing thru either cover... They may actually have nothing to do with one another,i just picture a book with low quality "Tan" pages having other "tanning problems" with the book.... Perhaps the 9.0 may be a PQ upgrade candidate via a review by CGC? (It is after all, an old label) But that, as has been discussed, carries certain risks. Not only "Old Label",but graded 1/2000 in the first months CGC was open....the first books slabbed a month or so prior for dealers had NO PQ on them.... Something to think about.... Now...if someone can get an even better scan or willing to take a risk for a ow pager. You could always throw up a bid I am so bad That's true...then I'll be buying the book not the label.

  10. Makes my 23 worth $15K Way too high for the 24. The #24 on c-link dropped in price a couple of thou Needs to be down more. You going for it. No. If I had it, that money would go toward an upgrade to my #22. Besides, it'd be more at home in a higher-grade set Good call. SC #23 and #24 are okay to have, but focusing on a nicer #22 instead will be a better move long term. I agree, 1st appearance always sells for a premium and appreciate more for the long haul.
  11. Cool book everyone. Need to find one someday.

  13. I was hoping for a higher grade, but I'll settle with white pages.
  14. Ditto, the PQ needs to be a numbered scale. More money for CGC and is a great idea. Yes, and I'd like it just to pin down the PQ to something everyone can understand. I've seen books with fragile paper that was nearly white, and tanned books with good strong flexible paper. I think of PQ when I'm handling a book, is it going to tear easily with the slightest pressure of a finger in the wrong way? I wish CGC would make a PQ scale that put priority on the paper strength and likelihood to take rough handling without tearing, plus the color factor for appearance. Right not it seems to be that they hunt the lightest square inch inside a book, and poof, that's the PQ color. I'm exaggerating I know, but I hope you see my point. I care about the long term life of the collectibles, the highest PQ rating should indicate that a book will last longer than the lower PQ. Regards, Great insight. Maybe a one to ten point PQ scale. I would rather just have them give any book I submit OW/W or W pages and leave it at that. Much easier for them that way. OW/W or W pages that's no fun. But again...That's all I want.

  19. I agree to some point. But certain books with bright rich colors normally exhibit better page quality. Just making my love for better preserved books.
