I don't know how to say this any clearer: He's not going to come in and comment. B/c it doesn't matter what he says, the TROLLS will turn his words against him; they always do. Why would anyone voluntarily step into the firing squad?? who are the TROLLS? Started as a witch hunt. Now we be a huntin' trolls How is this a witch hunt? Some interesting facts were brought to light and Chip has offered no explanation for what would appear to be shady actions at the least. I've seen people defend MUCH worse though with even more vigor, so I'm not surprised

Thanks Caludio. However, I did know that they were both the same book and both were from Chip when I originally posted the ebay 5.5 link against his board advertised 4.0. This is not butthurt or malice, although some may think it is. I just think it’s fair if Chip explains the reason of the inconsistency. Some may see slight overgrading and pricing lower as a selling strategy, and it might be as long as you provide scans, although to me it’s always shady terrain. Above all, I expect the grade to be consistent if you sell here and there – at least as a buyer. A VG can be a rag for some graders, while a tightly graded FN- can be a nice FN. I hate to continue this before Chip chimes in, but I do want to restate an earlier point with a touch of elaboration because it seems to be lost here. Grading is an opinion. The PGM threads are a collection of opinions. One persons 5.0 can look like another persons 6.5 and it's not necessarily because either are doing anything unethical. Again, grading is subjective. What is not subjective is simultaneously listing the same Strange Tales 115 here as a 4.0 and on ebay as a 5.5. Or agreeing with a 3.5 average on the DD7 here and listing it on ebay as a 5.0. That same 1.5 grade bump is coincidentally the average for all 19 sub 9.0 examples (more accurately a 1.57 average) . This is what the hoop jumpers and Defenders of Everything seem to want to ignore. I don't know Chip from a hole in the ground, but when I read about this my first thought was "scam artist". If people want to ignore the behavior because the digital representation of himself seems nice or they've gotten a "great deal", so be it. I'll be interested to see him attempt to defend it...if nothing else it should be entertaining. Though I have a feeling he hopes it'll just blow over.

I do think rule 24B of the p/a playbook states that you have violated the terms of your agreement by acknowledging your superior. Also in related news, the I Blame Everyone Else Gazette, the I Am The Real Victim Here Tribune and Buzzwords for Weak Minded Quarterly are all working on new issues specifically targeting the "If You Disagree With Me, You Must Be A Troll" crowd. The demand has been overwhelming. News at 11. Nice

Blade Runner 2 on the way care of Ridley Scott
Logan510 replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
IIRC Scott has gone on record saying that Deckard is a replicant and Ford has gone on record saying he wasn't. Someone please correct me if I'm remembering incorrectly. -
Blade Runner 2 on the way care of Ridley Scott

Agreed. I can't imagine how this could be good. It doesn't really require a sequel, the original stands on it's own just fine. -
Fixed it. Your list is pretty sweet

Bronze age comics that are heating up on eBay...
Logan510 replied to PeterPark's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
To be fair, the odds of a Howard the Duck movie getting made are pretty poor. Additionally, that character is definitely a product of his time and despite several attempts over the year, Marvel has never been able to make the character work outside the original title's run. (Are there comic creators clamoring to usher Howard into the modern Marvel universe?) I also don't see Disney green-lighting a movie with the character as it's been a source of contention between Disney and Marvel due to the similarities with Donald Duck. The critical comparisons that would be drawn from a Disney produced Howard the Duck movie would be interesting to see however. So, now that we've been told there is no Nova movie perspectives in the works, has Nova 1 started coming back down to earth? Yeah, I thought it was well known that this was just a fun little easter egg that Gunn threw in. Don't get me wrong, I think him doing that did spark a renewed interest in the character. Hell even I picked up a copy of HtD #1 b/c of it. I didn't hear that about Nova! I'm pretty bummed. He would be great on the big screen. Guess I'm in luck though considered I still haven't picked up my copy haha. I was never disputing this. . You weren't really being specific, which is why I thought the clarification was justified. -

Mid grade raw sales are only indicative of the mid grade raw market. -
You're probably the reason why he ended up putting a sign on his table asking people to have the books out of the bags and ready to sign when it's their turn

Nice stuff dude

Relatively cheap and easy to find first appearance in high grade. If she ends up in one of these dopey movies...cha ching.

Elitist

I love cool books Don't hate, I do love cool books. If I had anything worth it I would participate, but I don't want to be labeled a junk donkey

Glad I could help, even though I don't know how I helped. Calling out his claiming unemployment to get out of a sale so that he could purchase an Amazing Fantasty 15. An earlier indicator this was not going to be a fun ride for anyone that got on the Symbiotic train. I'm glad he made you whole with the transaction Nick. The people who lie about their transactions and don't even attempt to offer restitution or ask for redemption are pretty much the scum slick on the bottom of the shoe of life. I, for one, am glad Symbotic didn't revert to this level at least. That makes him better than some.

This does not make sense. I understand if people want Symbiotic out of the boards for the time being, but to say one "cant undo" whatever bad thing has done in the past is utterly wrong, and somewhat diabolic. Would you apply this across the board for everyone? Sadly many boardies do.... When I made my stupid eBay mistake, there were people saying "I'll never do business w/him." Which ultimately is fine but to take such an extreme is sad. I was asking if he applied it across the board his policy of not believing someone can't undo a wrong they've committed. To be fair, I never said he can't undo a wrong he's committed, I said he can't undo his reputation, which I think is a fair statement considering his situation on these boards. I should have just stayed out of it I feel like my statement is being twisted to make me sound diabolical. No worries, I was asking Vaillant. I don't believe "everyone" is entitled to forgiveness and that there are some bells that cannot be un-rung
