1. I think he can do whatever he wants, but I think it's risky in the sense that most of the books I've seen I would not agree with the grade just from looking at the scans. A book can look a lot different in hand, which on EBay can be both good and bad.
2. But you haven't always. Are you not willing to entertain defending your raw grading at all? As someone pointed out earlier, your history of returns for raw books on Ebay is not very dispositive of whether you're un/intentionally overgrading. What I am doing other than offering a friendly wager to quantify what you say already exists? Divad's never gonna go for it as he stands to lose face and I'm betting he doesn't feel too confident about winning. Don't know what he expects when he keeps on posting his auctions in this thread for people to scrutinise so often. Personally, I won't sell a raw book as advertised more than NM even if it is higher. If someone is going to do that then they should put their money where there mouth is IMHO. I'll use numerical grades for raw books, but usually offer a split grade like 9.4 / 9.6. I don't think I've ever offered a raw book for sale that I labeled a 9.8 even if I thought it was.
3. No. "Heard" can mean "to be told of or informed," with no requirement of anything auditory. But, thank you for playing. If I heard condescension in your remark, would I be wrong? Not as long as it sounded like Ethel Merman.

5. Are people not allowed to just buy a book because of a character anymore? I wonder how books got hot before TV and movies. The creative team ( mainly the artist ).
6. Just out of curiosity, would you guarantee that numerical grade if someone bought it and sent it straight into CGC without a press? I guarantee the grade of every book I sell. I think I've had two returns in over 12 years and 10,000 sales. And those were many years ago. And even you know there are still many variables in this statement, "if someone bought it and sent it straight into CGC without a press?" I wasn't trying to bait you, I was sincerely curious.

8. You should dump those on the market all at the same time
9. after checking out FB, I know who Brittany is also. She took my books (Chicago) and was super nice and smelled like strawberries That's not terribly creepy or anything.
10. You need a friend in the IT department there who can make it so you can.
11. Where's the Fear 19? Nicest 8.5 you might see on this book. Save for the BC stain that goes through the whole book. It's not a stain, it's an ink smear that totally looks production related. Not according to CGC Graders notes: Left Center Back Cover Smear Right Center Front Cover Fingerprints Top Front Cover Fingerprints Man, who put on the fingerprints on that book? They're not fingerprints. If you see the book in hand it looks like the ink got smeared when it came off the printing press. I've seen fingerprints on books before and this ain't that.

15. [font:Book Antiqua]For you... The OP hit the jackpot, doesn't matter if he sell now or later, he will have a nice profit... It'll matter if another 9.9 or a 10 come along [font:Book Antiqua]This is not NM # 98, this is a 30 + years old book... It doesn't change my point [font:Book Antiqua]It doesn't but the age of the book diminished the possibilities... You may be right, I honestly don't know what the print run was on that annual. Either way, I agree that selling sooner rather than later is the wise move
