Got a couple of posters back from the frame store

I have no dog in this fight and don't know Chip from Adam. My unbiased perception of him is someone who appears down on their luck and needs to sell comics to feed his family, pay his bills etc. So there is merit to what some people here are saying because that's the impression I got when looking at his sales threads.

That's the problem with a guy who games our Probation List like Symbi did. Screw people over, lie, and push the limits until he gets caught and then wail and moan about what a horrible mistake he's made until he's removed from the list and allowed to repeat the cycle. You are very lucky you didn't send him any money. I think anyone who has ever been on the probation list should probably have a permanent asterisk added to their user name or something. I suggested something like that awhile back...I was told that marking someone with a scarlet letter isn't fair..that if a person made the offended party whole, they're removed from the PL and considered to be clean. I'm not against giving second chances, but we've seen too many people game the system for my liking

Unfortunately, you can be the biggest doosh in the universe, but as long as you make the other party whole, off the PL you go. Ridiculous, but those are the rules. Yeah, I can get behind that idea. But the point is that, at least from his point of view, the offended party hadn't been made whole. I don't feel whole after reading about it But he paid the money back, so he gets another chance to be a jerk again ( hopefully he's not, but I've seen too many repeat offenders ).

Does that mean it's his 3rd strike...or did they give him 3 strikes at once? If it's 3 at once, wouldn't that be his 4th for the year? is there a limit? I thought 4 strikes in one calendar year meant a ban.

If you feel this way, then you don't have to wait for poll results to say so, just take it upon yourself to show us that you are sincere in your intention to take responsibility for your failures and punish yourself by leaving. That's the plan once my final sales reach the buyers. Oh. Started another sales thread and already deleted. Wait...he started yet another sales thread after yesterdays debacle??? The week before the poll ends can't go by fast enough. Yes, and it mentioned something about him providing great deals to boardies. He's a generous guy, that one is. I just at the train wreck that's occurred. I really feel for the people who have ever had to rely on this guy in real life. The lines between right and wrong and truth and lie don't get this blurred - no excuse. You're right, it wasn't once. It was many times. I believe he was also the same guy who said that when he came back from self exile that he wouldn't sell anymore and if he was caught selling he should be banned on sight.

So the guy isn't scummy because he doesn't dink around with expensive books, only cheap ones? What if he was selling an Action #1 but used a reprint as a stock photo? And solarcadet1 definitely deserves his lumps. If only HOS members could get banned so he wouldn't have to quote me and talk at me every time I make a post he's interested in. +1 I do NOT understand why someone on the HOS is tolerated around here. When we as a community put someone in the HoS, it's like we kicked them off the island in Survivor. Yet the producers have decided to just let them hang around. It's odd.

Had he taken the time to look at what you posted, he would see that my interaction with Drew occurred on 8/1/2012, which is basically two years ago. His misbehavior had not occurred at that time. How do you KNOW that??? Look at the history and tell me there was no intent to deceive and it was just a "stupid mistake". The bleeding hearts are out in force today I'm not a bleeding heart. The guy obviously wants to sell stuff and if he had succeeded in "conning" someone with this picture, the boards would have known about it quickly and we'd be right back where we are now. The risk/reward for an extra few dollars based on PQ would not logically have been enough to attempt this con and lose future sales. Stupidity is an easier explanation than malice. After everything he's done, I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt and not just call him stupid. I remain undecided. I might agree if it weren't for his "I'm a shiller, in yo face!" thread he had.
