  1. I'm just bustin' yer ballz. Neither of them deserved it though
  2. It's funny. All those posts and all I can remember is pictures of your family and you defending people who didn't deserve it Where does the time go?
  3. That is true. His coddling of the newbies make them feel free to run amok! Juddy is too nice a guy for his own good
  4. Glad you know the whole story. If you did, you'd keep your "ridiculous" comments to yourself.... If you (or any of the other posters) have something you want to say, send a PM. Otherwise, you have no right to comment in something that doesn't involve you. With that attitude, you're missing the point of this entire thread. I do understand the point of this thread and it is just as it states, General Discussion. Feel free to say what you will. In a civilized society when someone is being attacked they are given the right to defend themselves. Unfortunately, it would appear in this forum that many hold to the principle of guilty until proven innocent. The problem I have with the conversation in question is someone has come in, linked to another thread and made a comment that instantly casts a negative light on it. So I ask why? If anyone feels I did something wrong, why not PM me? Why not take the high road and come to a civil resolution? No one has asked for the other side of the story; there was an immediate guilty verdict. Had they asked they would have been informed that the OP sent me a PM asking me if I still wanted the book because the first individual had passed on it and I had been second in line to purchase. The OP further stated that it was not the first individual’s book to give away if they passed on it. Therefore, I did nothing wrong in purchasing a book I had expressed interest in. The comment I made about not dealing with others’ krap was uncalled for and inappropriate, I will grant you that. Like so many others, I am not immune to responding hastily when I feel I have been wrongly accused. Again, if anyone feels what I did was so bad I would welcome a gentleman’s discussion via PM to clear it up. Otherwise, commence with the public flogging. Why would you expect people to take the high road and PM you when you've received at least 2 strikes in the recent past for thread krapping?
  5. And, to make things perfectly clear....he clarifies that he doesn't want to deal with our krap... No, he just wants to deal our books. But only because he wasn't in the mood. Otherwise, I suppose, he'd go guns a-blazing. He sells comics to people. That automatically makes him a stand up guy to lots of boardies!!
  6. I received a very well packaged and tightly graded book from Mike. I could not be any happier with the purchase / transaction. The extras were really thoughtful and right in my wheelhouse. I hope to do more business in the future. Thanks again! Casey
  7. I just completed a deal with Wayne. He paid super fast and was just incredibly easy to deal with during the entire transaction. I would not hesitate to do business with him again if the opportunity arose. Thanks again! Casey
  8. Greggy is a prince among men. I just received a sweet parcel of worthless junk that was shipped quickly, packaged with care and accurately graded. I <3 Greggy's junk. Casey
  9. I just received some books from Barton. Shipped quickly, packaged with care and graded tightly. Easily one of my favorite sellers on the boards and truly one of the best to deal with. I always keep my eyes open for one of his sales threads. Thanks again and here's looking forward to more business in the future! Casey
  10. I didn't see any CT before I submitted it and I still don't see it now. I was tempted to try and get graders notes on it to see where it actually is located, but I already sold the book
  11. There's another angle on this that I found fascinating...sometimes first impressions are the truest because of later rationalizations and the ability of the mind to use its full capacity, much of it unexplainable with logic. This leads to a gut reaction that is often correct, even though there seemingly wasn't enough information to process a result. There's a great book on this by Malcolm Gladwell called Blink. Brilliant. Although I thought people always put much more effort into 1st impressions than any other and I assume them to be more faked than genuine later impressions. Sometimes the initial facade that people wear is more revealing than anything... Dang, I was hoping you wouldn't find out I was a scumbag until this summer summer? Aren't you going to C2E2? Yes, springtime it is then

  13. Instead of arguing with you like other n00bs have done with me, telling me how I should feel or to get over it.... I will offer a sincere apology and say I meant nothing by it and I was hoping the commercial I posted would let you know it was meant tongue in cheek. I'm sorry that what I did upset you. Cool? I am pleasantly surprised. I respect you for your apology. We cool Thank you, I appreciate it.
  14. You never get a second chance to make a first impression To closed minded people perhaps. Respect always has the ability to be earned People screw up. If they work at it and make genuine changes in their life and WANT to do better, who are we to judge that? It's what the society is based on. Criminals are put to "justice" and put through a system that is supposed to show them the errors of their ways. Everyone gets out eventually and is given a second chance. Whether they change and learn anything is entirely up to them. There are people who I deemed not worth my time upon first meeting them, only to see in time that they were pretty decent and cool people. To think so black and white is to be mentally shut out. Thats MY two cents Did you read what I actually wrote? Take it literally...as I meant it. Now look at everything you wrote to me and ask yourself who's looking to be offended here. C'mon dude. I re-read it and I took it one way. I looked at it in the sense that people don't have a second chance when meeting someone for the first time and that impressions stick to closed minded people. I based it on judgement. That is the vibe I get from you, that is the direction I took it. I took offense to you facepalming me because its a disrespectful gesture, along with following what you think of noobs, continues that bias. Anyways....I am not one for explaining myself, I am not good at it. But thats the best I can do You're judging me...based on a few things you've seen me say. Is that fair? Practice what you preach sir. Actions, words, and all that. What else have I got to go on? You routed me with the facepalm. I am letting you know it pissed me off. Instead of arguing with you like other n00bs have done with me, telling me how I should feel or to get over it.... I will offer a sincere apology and say I meant nothing by it and I was hoping the commercial I posted would let you know it was meant tongue in cheek. I'm sorry that what I did upset you. Cool?

  18. More like Veterans be trippin (thumbs u Yeah, because it's the vets who're coming in all condescending, talking about a situation they know very little about. Thank you for proving my point. I say the same thing as Pat, yet you roll your eyes at me and agree with him. Unreal. (thumbs u It isn't about blame, it's about trying to be a bit friendlier. Did you know I once posted nothing but emoticons for a week. I understand what you're saying, but I have a low tolerance level for people who come in here guns-a-blazin', telling me how I should feel about a situation I'm involved in that they know almost nothing about.
