Yeah if you read a bunch of the replies after that post you’ll see a lot of discussion about that.
I saw that after the fact, I was going to bring up his past history as a restorer/over grader, but I saw that it was mentioned after the fact in the thread.

Everything else is just SA/BA keys, and GA covers I like. Total hodgepodge. The SS run was easy (especially in 8.0 +), and still took some time just to find them all. It's crazy what you are attempting here. I once thought about trying to do X-Men 1-50, with 15-50 all in 9.0 +, and the best I could afford for 1-14. I was too lazy to even attempt that, and it is orders of magnitude easier than what you are doing. Again, keep going. I check this thread often for updates.
It took me 25 years but I was able to complete X-Men 1 CGC 8.5, 2-20 CGC 9.0, 21-66 CGC 9.4, then GSX #1 to 143 CGC 9.4/9.6. Patience is the key and constant scouring and selling other collectibles to grab books.

Was this purchased from Kelly super heroes on ebay?

Do DD fans prefer the yellow and red costume or the solid red?

I think Daredevil #1 is still undervalued, would be a great time in to pickup in higher grade copy, where as most of the other Marvel SA keys are out of reach in high grade. Not sure about the last few years, but it was also one of the few modern Marvel books that was a good read. You had the Smith, Bendis, Brubaker runs which were fantastic. I wish I picked up one years ago but was finishing my X-men run.

Interesting! I checked CGC Census. There is none but I saw the label that spelled A.D. so I searched and found them. The magazine is pretty tight inside the case. Good luck on your submission if you are planning on.
I thought the same thing, it looked so tight in the case, it looked like excessive moment could damage the book. Seeing that, I felt a bit hesitant to submit anything.

I guess I stand corrected.

Pages that are available of theirs were generally the pages split with the inker.

Although younger, both Kubert brothers kept theirs on advice from their father.

Amazing, you could have bought a lower grade major SA Marvel key for that kind of money.
-
I'm not interested in selling, but I would interested in getting them graded as I believe they would be NM or better. I am going to wait 2 years, I would just wait longer to send them in.
-
I have the 1st 10 2000 AD's to submit, should I wait?

Any copies of Phantom Stranger #1 still available?
-
Not saying that there is a anything fishy going on, but it's odd a low selling account would be listing items of that magnitude on eBay. Heritage, Comiclink, etc. would be the way to go, if for nothing else, buyer confidence.

I believe, I have at least a 9.4 copy that I purchased about 5 or 6 years ago. I will have to post pics before I sent out to CGC.

The shame of it is, on the old eBay, you could message bidders and at least let them know about this, but now that sadly cannot be done.

Looks like we got a fake copy on ebay right now. Xerox covers? I don't even know if the interior is real..
The seller has the pages open so tight, it looks like the pages are going to tear off the staples.
-
There looks to be a dust shadow on the front cover, a cleaning will not help that issue. One page looks to be wider than the rest is damaged. A cleaning and a press is not going to help much.

Did this ever sell? If not pm, me!

I am pretty sure I posted my ticket to the club some years ago, but I am really happy that I still own it. I hadn't checked GPA on this for a couple of years and boy was I surprised to see that out of the sudden its probably the most valuable book in my little collection.
I got this book in 2016 and considered then that it was really undervalued. Kinda bummed that I waited to get X-Men #4 "sometime later"...
Bob Storms of High Grade Comics had a 7.5 listed at I believe $67,500 a week or two back it sold before he even put scans up.

Prices on these are nuts.
Considering they are basically reprints, I would agree!

Wow, I must be strict, I was thinking an 8.0
Attempting to collect DC Showcase 1-104 in 9.0 or better!

I just can't believe he has been allowed to continue to sell on ebay for over 20 years.
