There is a nice CGC 8.5 OW/W ending on Comiclink tomorrow.

While it is rather high, collectors of these books generally collect indie stuff, this along with TMNT #1 and Cerberus #1 are the mega keys. The other copies may very well be in private collections, so who knows when you will see another copy.

I honestly feel that this total HACK of an artist should pay me $100 for reading this tweet.
His guest run a few years ago in Spawn was the worst comic art I've seen...right up there with Liefeld.
Does Larsen believe anyone would pay $100 for his sig? I wouldn't care to take it for free.

Not trying to derail a thread but the ad should say Marvel is multiple places in the ad but the picture does not show that?

None of these are for sale. They were sold last year.

There's an Eastern Color File Copy (fake stamps, didn't exist) on eBay. Didn't Danny D cobble these together back in the day? You can see the obvious trimming and CT too.
Interesting piece of comic scammer history.
What ever happened with him? Did he stop selling all together?

He's a human and an evolutionary biologist who was a contemporary of Charles Darwin who believes mutants are an improvement upon humanity. He learned about Apocalypse, woke him up, and after the death of Sinister's wife Apocalypse genetically manipulated him to have an array of powers that are effectively a mix of Jean Grey, Mystique, and Wolverine. His name comes from his attempt to bring his dead son back to life...he asked his wife for forgiveness on her deathbed, but she said "to me, you are... utterly… and contemptibly… sinister!" He took his name from her last words to him.
His obsession with and direct ties to the history of humanity's understanding of evolution are what I find interesting about him. Both he and Apocalypse could be done well in film, Bryan Singer just didn't cover enough of the back story to make En Sabah Nur compelling.
It's amazing to me how Bryan Singer has a career in Hollywood considering his lackluster attempts at the X-Men, but I guess each movie made a profit so that's all that matters.

I really enjoyed Mike Carey's Lucifer which is rarely talked about but thought it was very well done.

Why Fantomex?
Not agreeing or disagreeing, but I would be curious if your answer would be similar if someone asked you about Rocket Racoon a few years back (before his appearance in Annihilation: Conquest for example); not that I'm suggesting both characters are the same ~
Not being rude, but have you read the Morrison run? Or the Remender Uncanny X-force run? Both runs focus heavily on the character compared to others created during the Morrison run. I would put a better bet on Xorn or Quinten Quire than Dust as Marvel has used them after his run ended.

Really when you look at who Image's line up of great creators are - it's almost ALL former Marvel creators who're now doing their best work.
What superhero did he create other than Fantomex?
Morrisson then went to DC and through a better shared ownership program, created an entire Universe of new characters....
Maybe Bendis also got himself a better deal. And talk about a creator of derivative tripe... Bendis is the home run hitter of it, co-creating the Marvel Ultimate Universe. A huge HIT I might add, leading to the idea Marvel might've gotten that readers WANT derivative concepts.
In the Morrison New X-Men run, he created Xorn, Cassandra Nova, Quinten Quire, the Stephford Cuckoos, Beak, Dust, just to name a few. Marvel has used many of these characters after the fact.

Prices were all over the place: the 7.5 went for $14k and the 7.0 fetched $20.4k!
The 7.0 did present better though, the 7.5 looked to have a grease stain or something on the spine.

I thought the final prices on the X-Men #1's on CL last night were a bit soft, a 8.5 went for around 28K when the last few have ended in the 35k+ range.
-
I'm having a similar issue, I sent in 25 modern books for pre screen and they have been sitting at verified since 10/22/2018. Is this normal?

38K for a 9.8 is
Used to sell close to that price then dropped all the way down to around 13K until just a couple years ago. Guess that cycle has done full turn.
I agree, great book but for that price, you could get a nice X-Men #1 CGC 8.5

Sorry to bring up an old topic but my question is pretty much the same. To hold on to my SR Graphics Z.T. #1 or to sell it. Found it at a HPB for a $1.00 (or $1.50, can't remember but full disclosure). My wife says hang on to it but it's not like it's a Golden or Silver Age grail. Rather newish and I haven't heard of any movie or TV show attached to it. I'd say mine is about a 8.5 or so with a small ding to the corner and a non color breaking crease on the back that could be pressed out. Opinions?
I would sell it and buy a book that you want, possibly CGC grade.

Is the seller of all those copies on the boards? He sells a lot of high grade copper age stuff.
-
Book will be up till Sunday night and then moved to eBay.
Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

First and second prints of These Savage Shores seem to be doing well, not sure if it was mentioned pages back.
