  1. Hope you get those sorted. Not sure the magical powers of JoeyPost could even fix that.
  2. Wolvie must be in this movie, purely so we can all revel in him getting utterly pwned by a Sentinel. Then again, the studio would only disregard the original storyline and have him survive and wipe out the sentinels single-handedly.
  3. Fish, Chips, curry sauce, and scraps all wrapped up in a couple of copies of X-Force 1 - May as well recycle them, although Leifeld art has been known to ruin appetites. Wash it down with a pint (or 4) of Guiness and finish it off with a nice single malt. Anyone for a slice Vienneta???
  4. Beard-Con 2012 Some good guests there, would be good if there was some GCG witnessing going on. Who? Biz and Adlard are always good for a sig. I was more asking about who GCG are Good Comics Guys. They are a UK version of PGX.

  7. I just sent a pair of 1:10 Thompsons and a pair of Awesome Comics - Third Eye variants.
  8. Just sold Kevin some GFT slabs. Great transaction. Would happily deal with him anytime.
  9. I've just put up a set of 1a, 1b (1:10 Thompson) FCBD and WD 99 for about $60 (Free shipping in the UK). Was quite surprised at the volume of PM's it generated, mainly regarding the FCBD and 1:10 variant Here's hoping the set sells I'd agree with Hawkman that multiple copies are the way forward. 1A seem plentiful in high grade so selling a copy on it's own has a huge amount of Feebay competition. Stick a set together and all of a sudden it becomes more appealing.
  10. OT for a minute. Anyone know what CGC are currently charging for returning slabs to UK. Just trying to work out the most cost effective way of getting some books over and back again. I usually sub in tens but am considering 5 or six this time to save on cost. Cheers Paul Now, back on with the DKR love.
  11. Saw Dark Knight Rises last night. Flipping awesome although once my mate pointed out that Bane sounded like Roger Moore, I couldn't get the image of Bond-Bane out of my head. All-in-all. Brilliant movie
  12. Book of the month for me. Followed by Dancer #3 and then probably WD #100 (Just for the Rocky Balboa "Aaaadriaaaaaannnnnnn" scene at the end). I'd been eager to read this ever since seeing it waaaay back in Previews. I got a little worried that I was over hyping the book to myself. Glad I wasn't dissappointed. Plenty of back-story and supporting characters hinted at in the first issue to suggest some fine storytelling is inbound. Plus the art is great. As I stated earier in the thread Cover A is one of my favourite modern covers already. Fully-clothed women (In fact, overly-clothed) makes a refreshing change from my usual GFT pulls
  13. I thought the best thing you did last Feb was meet me? I'm hurt......
  14. That may be the ugliest comic book I've ever seen. You never seen NM 98??? UGLIEST BOOK EVER!!!
  15. JUST SHOW IT ALREADY I'm sure my jealous-o-meter will go off the scale. This one of my favourite covers from recent months (Along with Dancer #1)
  16. Welcome. Stick around and frequent this little thread often. We have cake. (And beer )
  17. Just read it again and Hmmm???
  18. +1 Any books I've had from MCS or CGC have always been in hand within a week of confirmation that they have been shipped. I've never waited more than 3 weeks (Even over the Christmas period).
  19. different and 10x better Controversial.... But not unrealistic.
  20. Finally got a chance to read it. Awesome. Fantastic writing. Very different from other stuff on the shelves at the moment. It's definately NOT another zombie book, although, much like WD (And this is the ONLY similarity), it is very character focussed with planty of dialogue. Art is beautiful Glad I wasn't disappointed. With this, WD #100 and Dancer 3, it was a great wednesday
  21. Must......avoid......viewing.....Krighton's........spoiler. Willpower......low........... Must......wait.....till.......tomorrow..........................................
  22. My final batch arrived today Just posted pics the UXM 128 ss and NYX 3 in General. The GFT's are sales-thread bound once I can get them scanned without any disapproving looks around the office.
  23. Finally had my last lot of LSCC books back. Most were GFT variants which are for resale. These two are keepers. Uncanny X-Men 128 Signed by Stan Lee and George Perez at LSCC Many thanks to Bedrock for this. He’d kindly brought a couple of copies over to LSCC for me to look at. Also, obvious thanks to Stan and George (As well as Chespirito who kindly queued and witnessed the George sig). NYX 3. Found a couple of these rather randomly at the Place in Space stall at LSCC for a measly £20 (About $30). For some bizarre reason I chose to only take one copy. !! I’d intended to flip it, but now it’s finally in hand I’ve decided to keep it. I’ll scan the GFT’s at some point but I use the scanner in the open area of my office. I’ll need to wait for a quiet half hour rather than risk the wrath of HR.
