  1. UK readers won't get their grubby mitts on a copy till a week monday. I'll certainly be grabbing a digital copy on Wednesday as my will power and patience with transatlantic shipping is woefully low.
  2. This was the aspect that got me hooked. The dead rise for one day and then we get to investigate the aftermath. I'm really looking forward to next week as I think this has got the potential to be a great and absorbing read. As for covers, Although I'll have a couple of each, am I the only person who thinks cover A is the standout one? When I first saw the art in Previews a couple of months back it really caught my eye and drew my interest.
  3. Potential interest from me. Just depends on the weekend (Wife works alternate weekends so I'm housebound with a screaming 13 month old )
  4. You are asking if Ikea provide UV protection??? 9 time out of ten they don't even provide screws. (I'm allowed to diss Ikea - my wife is a local store manager ) Does that mean a discount For a company with such a laxidaisical approach to ensuring that self assembly pack contain the right amount of parts, they are **Spoon** hot on monitoring staff discounts. I'm hoping to pick up a couple of the glass display cabinets myself later in the summer (Summer - Ha....) for my soon to be complated man-cave.

  6. Here's a question for you? If I send you one of my Marvel Blanks, could you do a cover repro on it, then sign it at LSCC 2013 (Witnessed). I could then sub it yellow label, flip it and make my millions
  7. Been re-reading my Hellblazers lately and stumbled upon this little gem from issue 228 at lunchtime. Story takes place during the England v Portugal game in 2006. Thought it was quite apt at the moment.
  8. Speak for yourself. My credit card still has the hangover from hell I heard Ebas put a restaining order out on you He was worth all subsequent court appearences

  10. Sharon has just confirmed thay have received all my books and will be shipping them back to me shortly In other news, Following the issues I had with Disposable Heroes in May, I eventually just sent the damaged books back to them and demanded a refund of £125 for all of my current and future orders. They still couldn't get this right and have refunded me for about 2/3rds of my order. Got into work this morning and found a pile of books which they HAD refunded me for sitting on my desk. **spoon**ing useless wastes of time. I'd be tempted to sell the books I've not paid for yet received if I didn't think it would affect me getting a full refund. Then again, I'd probably not sell them as they all have more spine ticks thana geriatric centipede. Avoid them at all costs.
  11. Luckily, the trouser lump was at the front. Rear facing trouser lumps are notoriously difficult to clean.
  12. Halo 4 trailer gave my a funny trouser lump
  13. A couple of moderns which I've always thought I should have in my collection, but never gotten around to picking them up. Not exactly scarce - there's usually a few hundred copies floating around Feebay at any given time. Found these going cheap so decided to bite the bullet and reduce the average value of books in my sig line. (Gotta admit though, the Silver variant does look very sweet )
  14. I'd read somewhere that it was an ongoing. The premise definately smacks of mini so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Got my variant ordered (Could ony get one though ) Luckily, I do have a nice pile of Image FCBD's just in case it does pick up.
  15. Pre-ordered it. Really looking forward to it.
  16. Forget all this meaningless Jubilee nonsense, everyone knows that the real reason this is a Bank Holiday weekend is to celebrate the release of Prometheus Saw it last night and was blown away. I'm a die hard Alien fan and as such had pretty high expectations. I should have know that the worlds greatest living Teessider (Ridley Scott) wouldn't disappoint. Not gonna talk about storyline (you can check out the thread in General for all your spoiler needs). Just gonna say. Excellently conceived, written and filmed. 3D really added a huge amount of depth to the beautiful locations (Especially in the opening section) Top marks from me.
  17. Has anyone actually asked any of the mods if we can set up a new section? There certainly seems enough of us with an interest in selling. This thread alone gets more input than the whole Copper section.
  18. You can count me in on this. Always happy to buy on this side of the Atlantic and I agree, 9 times out of ten, it's not cost effective for U.S. boardies to buy from us.
