  1. That would be the douchiest thing ever. Only for the non-lawyers. You wouldn't understand. Get a clue.
  2. Why should they give you something of value just because you want it? They have to buy quantities of the books to get the variants. If they don't sell, they have to eat them. Are you going to buy them if they stick them in your pull box "at random?" The sense of entitlement absolutely boggles my mind sometimes. Plus you are just going to flip it anyway.
  3. Here is one of my Kuberts that I have in photobucket. Sorry for the terrible photo. The last time that I saw Joe was at C2E2. I was helping Andy Cretella with some Sig Series books and was walking back with a CAW from another signing. Joe had been very hard to find that weekend and was just on his way to another engagement. I had all the Kubert books with me and asked if he could sign. His handler was an attractive lady, possibly a daughter in law or someone affiliated with the school. Joe said "Absolutely!" before she could say anything. She and I were taking care of the donation to Hero Initiative, and Joe started in on the signing - each signature as clear and precise as every time he has done it since the 50s. The books were all prepped for SS, but I had forgotten to take one of the books out of the plastic outside bag. The CAW immediately noticed it, and pointed it out to me. Joe happily signed the actual book when I handed it back to him. His handler scowled at the time it was taking. I gave another $5 to HI for the "extra" sig, and that polyethylene bag with a beautiful Joe Kubert signature on it has gone from a funny novelty to a treasured keepsake. RIP Joe.
  4. The first two are undergrounds. They are not listed in Overstreet, but if you can get a copy of Fogel's it will give you some basics. The last is an Avatar Faust book. It is a 1/2 issue and was issued in 2000.
  5. Sean that 45 is just flat out one of the nicest Silver Age books ever, in terms of eye appeal, sig placement and being complete.
  6. Yeah, but the established guys do it with a little savoir faire. They romance it a little bit. Like one of my buddies in high school said - "Fingh, you can't just jam it in there. Well, you can, but it's frowned upon."
  7. You have the picture reversed so start with that.
  8. I don't think Slym has posted for a long time. He seemed like a cool guy.
  9. I'm jealous that you went to Heroes. That always looks like such a fun show.
  10. Wow, Chuck, that Superboy is awesome!! I can't wait to get my Cardys back!!
  11. Your video was better than that, except for my dad's night terrors.
  12. No way of knowing, but my guess would be no. Maybe spot ironed to make sure the corners were flawless, but I can't see taking a book that had to be incredible "before" any hypothetical pressing and having it done. Stranger things have happened, though.
  13. You are not just whistling dixie. Wow.
  14. Epic Loot? That is where I got all my ToT #1s and 2s after I missed the boat on that one.
  15. I think it was all deleted because of people being mean to to Bragnet.
  16. Say three Our Fathers and write "I will check the census before I post this" 10 times on the blackboard.
  17. The funniest #1 issue I have read. Written by a 6 year old. That probably tells you a lot about me.
