  1. And he could have gone about it a 100 different ways and he went with dooshbag. Your statement was no different than hundreds of other threads. Actually it was as all the other threads have statments that say they won't deal with those on ignore. You explained your reasoning and Joey decided to publcy act like a two year old. He can pound sand. I am talking about CC. I have no problem with how Joey Gunz handled himself in my thread.
  2. I didn't disagree with him, , I just said he did it in the wrong place. Politely. And then I told him to keep on truck in' I did call him tiger, which is somewhat dismissive, and probably qualifies as seaphinctering in some cultures.
  3. If I am going to get a new sweet nom de guerre, I should at least get to act like an . I was pretty polite.
  4. And that thread is where? This one? Gimme a break. Lots of talk and zero action happen in here all the time. Nothin would have changed had the issue been brought up here. As for being seen in a better light, that's moot. Those that feel negatively towards me will still feel the same. Things change. People don't. Whatever. You keep on trucking, tiger.
  5. You Should have dealt with it in the appropriate thread. Then you might have been viewed in a better light. Threadcrapping is always wrong according to the rules.
  6. Yeah, sure, just like the Elephant Man used to be. Everytime I see that Spider Roach comic it puts a big smile on my face. I still don't think I would want to buy it, but..... if you're going to own a bad Stan signature, this is the one to own. I love that book. It is like my Sadfan book - it went from awful, to infamous to star status. The MARVEL Momoa poster signature has to go down in history as one of the best....FTR/FTW! Yes. That was aggressive.

  8. I was contract working for CGC and did that book. I think for Chuck Gower. There was a huge marker notation on the book. I think it was "11-5" and it looked bad. I went to Trimpe and talked to him about what he thought he could do. He looked at it for what seemed like two minutes. Then he mapped out that he was going to turn the "11" into the "H" in "Herb. . ." He then quit talking to me and starting tucking in to his work. It demonstrated two things to me: (1) There are some strange ways to make lemonade when life hands you a Hulk 181 lemon; and (2) Herb Trimpe was one of the nicest, most affable guys I ever met. As quick with a smile and a laugh as anyone I've ever met. I love hearing this. What a great "save" by Herb. On the other hand... haven't people tried to hide color touches by having sigs put over the color touch? Lots of people have talked about it. I am not aware of it being actually tried, or it being actually successful.

  10. It will be well-loved, but it was disappointing to have a structural 9.8 with schmutz on it.
  11. Nope, but this has to be at the top of the list. Maybe this was a joke? Or the owner just wanted Stan to deface the cover? I have no explanation for this one… The story that I heard, and this has been borne out in other situations, is that Stan crossed out an aborted signature. So the person went and had it re-signed, and asked Stan to do Spider-insignia over the cross-out. Stan being Stan, he gave us the Spider-roach and a star was born!

  13. I did not get the 1st 9.8 SS. The book had some tape residue schmutz on it when it really graded it. My crack team did the best they could on it, but it is 9.6 SS. So FAIL, but still a great book for me.
  14. Is there a reason for the pop? Weirdworld is part of the new Secret Wars, and I think has its own book coming out. I just snagged two 9.8 SS copies pretty cheap.
  15. I love how happy the guy taking down the data is when they land the big jump with the harness. He looks across at someone, and you can tell he wants to go "F**k Yeah!!!!"
  16. Sold a couple books to Matt. It went great. Highly recommended.
  17. WTF??? That is formic acid. They use it as a strategic air defense against birds and other predators that attack the nest from above. Ant-man should have a groin-based formic acid laser weapon.
  18. Unlike the new crop of specu-dealers, many folks here sell dupes or sell some books to continue to fund their collections. They have job and family responsibilities. Neither laziness nor crappy service may be the cause of a slight delay in shipping. If you can't deal with it, might i suggest Instagram or Facebook comic groups. They likely cater to the gotta have 'em ready to ship before I pay mentality. You will also get more emojis, and maybe, an accidental dickpic. So you have that going for you, which is nice.
  19. I love 70's soft rock - Ambrosia, Firefall, 10cc, Gerry Rafferty, Player, Orleans, England Dan and John Ford Coley, Hall and Oates, Gino Vanelli, Boz Skaggs, LRB Love it.
