  1. Over the next several weeks, I am going to have a massive sales thread. Modern and Copper keys and some of the rarest SS out there. I am going to shoot for a Thursday night start or Friday at the outside. Breaking out the good china - BWS, Moore, Mazz, McFarlane, Ellis, Tuska, Simon, Lee, Heath, Anderson and pretty much every tough creator that I have multiples of. Good times!
  2. Andrew was great to deal with on a time payments transaction. He did exactly what he said he would, and I couldn't recommend him any higher. --S.
  3. That was the book of San Diego. And it cemented in my consciousness that Triston Pence is a man among men.
  4. So at the end of the day, Matt is going to get some help, and redouble his efforts to get everyone their owed art? Wow, that sounds like a win win. If only someone would have posted that really early on, so that the most important priority (Matt's health and safety) and secondary priorities (people's art) could be appropriately balanced with everyone understanding what has been going on for a couple years. But then, where would everyone store their piles of righteous indignation?
  5. That isn't true, because I don't HAVE any behavior with (or towards) you for anyone to defend. In any event, I ignore you, I don't take shots at you, I don't bother you, I don't engage you, I don't have anything whatsoever to do with you, yet you still take regular shots at me, because you're still angry at me for whatever it is you think I've done to you. Fine. How's about putting on your big boy pants, like you tell everyone else to do, and learn how to pretend I don't exist? I'm sure you'll come back with some clever "it's impossible to ignore you!" comment, but that just proves the point. Why would I do that when I can both point out your obvious hypocrisy and wind you up at the same time? Plus it's good for your button clicking finger to constantly be toggling me on and off ignore. It's close to a workout. It will remind you of the times when I was in PMs with you and you had to go out of the PM and toggle each and every time you responded in those PMs. Whackjob.
  6. No one was called a thief. Thank you, though, for taking yet another unprovoked shot. What is that, like 32,765? And people actually defend your behavior with me. That's the amazing part! Nobody defends your behavior with me because it is indefensible. So suck it. And your welcome.
  7. That is miswrap, not spine roll.
  8. If I remember correctly, he has a hearing disability so English isn't perfect for him. How does a hearing disability affect one's typing? I seemed to remember him excusing his typing and saying it was because of his hearing disability at one point. People generally type the way the speak, don't they? Many people with hearing disabilities have trouble speaking so I assumed the two were related. You'll have to ask him to be sure though. Doesn't make sense to me, but whatevs. ASL places the noun in different spots. Usually it comes at the beginning. It isn't always grammatically incorrect, but it has a different sound. As Roy said, many people type like the speak. People that are deaf or hard of hearing also have written issues that might make it difficult for them to learn in school. I student taught in a room with a student that was deaf, and she had a lot of writing issues. We usually just helped her do multiple drafts or allowed her to use a computer to point out the mistakes. I'm not an expert, but I took ASL in college and found the deaf community really interesting. It is something we don't talk about, but they have a rich language and culture. The attached article also states that 20-50% of students that are deaf have other accompanying learning disabilities. The article even states it is hard to diagnose because may students go to schools without the proper resources. https://www.gallaudet.edu/clerc-center/information-and-resources/info-to-go/educate-children-(3-to-21)/students-with-disabilities.html I think Fing should call Jolly out on it and see if he's faking. Thanks Chris. That makes sense.

  11. Don't give up. Just learn to be patient. A conversation has it's own life and you need to give it a little time to find it's way. Aren't those the lyrics to a Wilson-Phillips song? They've should be if they aren't already.
  12. Dude. That movie got released. It is one of the 10 worst movies I have ever seen. It had a Wayans brother in it. It had Jeremy Irons looking like he was passing a kidney stone the size of a blueberry the entire movie. It had the dumbest plot and the worst effects. It made a battle between gold and red dragons boring and stupid. I wish I could get Zatanna to mindwipe the fact that I have seen it from my long term memory.
  13. Do you disagree? If someone makes an offer (buyer or seller) and the other side had not accepted it is the person not within their rights to pull it? that's why the lie (if it is a lie) is so stupid and unnecessary. Which I agree is concerning. If someone doesn't hesitate to lie when its not necessary, howabout when it is? I've posted this several times. If he was honest and just relayed what I underlined, I wouldn't have batted and eye and that would have been the end of it. YES, he had every right to take back his offer before it was accepted. YES, his offer wasn't accepted and a new counteroffer proposed. But, why the need for a lie in the first place?? I've posted my PMs to show I wasn't exactly twisting his arm to sell the book at a reduced price. I can't figure out for the life of me how (1) people still question if there actually was a buyer, (2) why people are trying to argue whether or not this was a completed deal or not and (3) whether a seller has a right to withdraw an offer before it was accepted. Obviously, it is because you are a n00b. This is how these always go. There are always people who are devil's advocates. Sometimes for the best and sometimes not.
  14. Junk says"I did just notice the thread after it had sold. At one time I was looking to pay $2500 for one. I have never seen one, this is the first. The BIN price seemed fair." So he is willing to pay the $1,900. Guy offered you the book for $1,625 or something and you did not accept the offer but instead decided to go the combo deal route which to me was trying to lowball the situation. Why not just buy the book for Junk for $1,625 when he offered it or even $1,750 which was his first offer. Both were much lower then the amount Junk was willing to spend. That is what I made a joke out of. But it doesn't excuse the fake sale. There is no question it was a fake sale. He was talking to Harvey and Junkdrawer simultaneously. Don't let the fact that there was lowball haggling going on excuse the artifice of a nonexistent sale.
  15. It's about time this series got some love. Lot's of hidden gems in the run: 1st White Tiger, 1st Jack of Hearts, 1st Daughters of the Dragon, some beautiful Adams covers (including the Bruce Lee & Billy Jack ones) and a really hot Bruce Lee book. Personally, this is the book I first discovered George Perez's art on the Sons of the Tiger series. Early Iron Fist appearances...what's not to love? Couldn't agree more. These were always difficult for me to find in high grade. Plentiful in FN, like hen's teeth in VF/NM or higher. I would only buy nice copies, so I still don't have any of the 1st apps. And they are pretty much the only Bronze 1st apps that I have never had. This is the nicest copy of any issue that I have ever had: http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=3471&GSub=631
