  1. Mikeggg's last board appearance from November 2013. A sales thread he created that didn't go too well at the end. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=318508&Number=7142956#Post7142956 What a train wreck.
  2. But does that really matter? If someone came on here to sell an attic find, what do they care whether they get put on some stupid Internet shame list? That is the essence of what the Marketplace has become. It used to be collectors selling to collectors, with some dealers mixed in. Now it is part-time flippers selling to weekend warriors/dealers/specu-hoarders. That is why the list has lost its efficacy and people's "personal lists" matter more. It's like having your borders overrun by refugees in the war between Hustruckistan and Instagramia.
  3. Also if this is the Benjamin Grimm cancer thread, I haven't gotten my book either.
  4. Absolutely. This is even more heinous than the normal type of failed transaction. ...... oddly enough, I just realized that I had neglected to mail out a charity book from quite a while back..... I contacted the buyer, apologizing profusely, and it turned out he had forgotten all about it. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u That's because you're a good man Jimbo. I, unfortunately, am the buyer of a donated book but I don't know who the donator is. I've attempted to contact the charity thread coordinator a number of times through both PMs and through his e-mail (Paypal) address and he hasn't read the PMs nor responded to e-mails. And it's been 3 weeks since I paid for the book. I'm waiting for the 30 days before nomination. There's also one other boardie who hasn't received his book either. In both his case and mine, I don't think the donators even know the books are paid for. Mike, what was the book? Also, is it an active Boardie that donated, or someone that may have drifted away from the Boards?
  5. I have this, but I am not really looking to move it. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=4098&GSub=629 I do have several sets raw as well.
  6. Hela tying the Magical Universe to the Asgardian one? Savvy.
  7. I think the scariest thing in that picture is that Medusa's mons pubis is larger than her head.
  8. Sounds like a cross between "The Little Mermaid" and "Splash". -J. More like a cross between Awesome and Holy mess!
  9. There is one really good story for an Aquaman (or Namor for that matter) movie. You roll the credits with the star-crossed love of the parents and show the kid going down to Atlantis. You can do 15-20 minutes on how weird and cool, and different Atlantis is. Then you reveal the threat to Atlantis (which likely threatens the landlubbers too.) Aquaman (or Namor) goes to America and is a fish out of water for 30-40 minutes, even becoming a target of the American military if it is perceived that he is tied to the "threat." He proves he is a hero, kicks the snot out of the threat, hopefully makes out with Wonder Woman and/or Mera. Roll credits. 700 MM worldwide. Boom.
  10. It makes me wonder about people who have hundreds of thousands of dollars tied up in comic books welching on agreements.
  11. I saw whovianone at a show not too long ago. He is doing fine
  12. Yes. Earlier in the thread, he said it was a German edition, limited to 1k copies.
  13. I want his book and can't find it anywhere. If anyone has a clue on how to acquire one, please PM me! If solarcadet posted it, then chances are it is foreign edition. Check European listings. Good luck, bud.
  14. What are you talking about? Is this movie marketed to kids? Is there anything that points to that? A tie in with Subway or McD's for toys in the kids meals? Also, looping in the Colorado tragedy is logically tenuous and in bad taste. 0 for 2 So Rated R or PG 13? And you are saying that there will be no movie tie-ins associated with this film? I find that hard to believe. Especially when a film has Batman in it. While some of us on these boards are in our late 30's/40's and 50's watching these flicks, there is no doubt that Warner/DC wants to tap into the 13 to 25 year old market with these films. That is the repeat viewer age. I have no idea. But 13 to 25 is not "kids." At least not to me, and not these days. I wasn't allowed to see R rated movies until I was 16. Most of my peers kids have seen scary R-rated (not sexy R-rated) movies by 12-13. I don't agree, but they are their kids. Marketing a movie to kids, to me, would be the same market that Cars, Toy Story, Lego Movie etc. is marketed toward. If they do that with this movie, then shame on them.

  16. Captain Marvel 26 - that is a 1973 comic and War is Hell is a 1974. Even easier, CM 26 is 20-cent and WiH 9 is 25-cents. In my mind, these are not even the same character. Mistress Death is an aspect of death that clearly is feminine. The other character is not.
