  1. Quick question about the Golden Age TPB.

I have just picked up the McKean cover copy for £6.50 (ten dollars) is this the second print, or UK copy or what?

I thought this was the first printing but I'm not sure now my commic software says its the 2nd print.

Either way its a bargain for me.

    Miracleman the Golden Age TPB.

Thats a great price Neil, where did you get it.

  2. Here is my Hulk 1. Have a lot invested in it, 12 cents to be exact. One of my key marvels that survived my mother's cleaning up purge. The AF 15 did not. :(

Been there dude only with future mother in law.

    nice book :applause:

  3. btw I have no skill either with digital stuff. I just put a song with the video on my comp, all of the captions in the video can be added on youtube after you upload the video, under the annotations. it's surprisingly easy.

Thanks, I may give it a try. A long time since I read any Stray Bullets but it was an excellent read, just talking about it makes me wanna go read it now. :)

  4. Well, i dont have it in hand yet but since it's actually paid for now, i can officially post it here. I'm FINALLY in!

My very 1st copy EVER of my all-time #1 grail book :whee:

Unless it's a choice between life and death, this book will never, NEVER leave my possession and will go to my son when i'm gone :cloud9:

I have a much tattier copy from being a kid.

    Great stuff.

Must admit that I haven't seen that issue before...but it's a few years older than me (though not many as I'd like) :(

    Great cover btw (thumbs u

Well I'm old enough to have got it as a Christmas present. :preach:

  6. Some lovely books there.

I always liked Steve Rude's art and the cover to Magnus Robot Fighter / Nexus #1.

I think is absolutely fantastic and very retro in style.

I dont have a scan at hand at the moment but I am sure you have seen it.

I actually had not ever seen the Nexus # 1 version of Magnus. I checked it out on the Grand Comics DB, and found it's a pretty awesome cover. (thumbs u

I have just been and scanned issue 1 & 2

I love Steve Rude's work on Nexus and most of his other stuff, but I think he excelled himself here.

I think #1 is one of my all time favorite covers from any era.

  7. Excellent set of group shots. :applause:

I noticed you had Magnus Robot Fighter included among them. Which cover, of the first 10, would you rate as your favorite?

There is a MRF thread here, but it's been a while since it's been updated.

Wow, that's such a hard choice.

I love painted covers, robot covers and Russ manning anyway. Put all 3 together....phew..

If I was forced to make a decision I would chose #3 as I think that it was the first issue that I owned and the cover depicts an impossible task due to the size of the robot, that just makes you want to read it to find out whats going to happen.

I will have to look for the MRF.

What would you rate as your favorite ?

I have always liked issues 4 & 5 the best. If I have to choose just one it's issue #4.
