  1. Yeah really. Perhaps it's 40K... Any higher and that's just "aggressive"
  2. I agree with you on all points! Here we go, getting ready end!
  3. I know it's still early and the snipers are most likely sitting and waiting their prey. But some Tecs on the comic connect auction are looking like seriously good deals right now: Currently: Detective Comics #33 CGC 4.0 OW/W (SA - Glue only) sitting at only 5K http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=319367 Tec 34 "7.0" raw sitting under 2K http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=349385 and Tec 38 EXP 7.5 sitting under 2.5 K http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=318720
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/Detective-Comics-35-Coverless-/300469128556?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f55b0d6c Tec 35 coverless just hit eBay.
  5. Oh man you've been picking up some great great books lately! That Batman 9 is spectacular (you should CGC!) can't ever get enough of that very Classic Cover!!
  6. I can only begin to imagine what it must feel like to own a copy of Detective Comics #27. It's a book so legendary, so important to our hobby, that I would be thrilled beyond belief to own just a single non-Batman page. Yours is not only complete, but has its cover, and is about as sharp as any collector could ever hope for. This to me is an example of restoration gone very VERY well. It also presents so well within the CGC slab; you must be one proud owner. I don't want to sound overly cheesy, but could you describe for those of us who have yet to (and might never) own a Tec #27, what the feeling must be like to finally have the privilege to own a book of that magnitude? Sorry, but cheesy is what you'll get -- how about owning a book you want to just look at and hold anytime you are within 100 yards of where it lies ?? How about picking it up in the holder so gently as if you were picking up the actual book, not wanting to damage it, what about wanting to sleep with it under your pillow every damn night an.................OK, sorry, too much information. That's how anyone would be.

  8. Haven't seen the Nova Scotia 'Tec 30 before, but what a great book. It reminds me of my Nova Scotia Adventure 44 - a top of stack book that had some soiling issues, but while yours was left intact, the previous owner on mine decided to get the cover cleaned. Either way, great books all! That Adventure looks un-real!!! Whats the grade # on that bad boy?
  9. Incredible! That 35 is surely the best example certified, period.
  10. Your the first to post a complete Bat cover Pre-Robin run in this thread. This is an incredible pic. (I need to go change my pants now....) Thanks! (I think) It's always a great sight to see all them together. I'm 3 (27,29,36) shy. Would you consider restored copies? I wasn't sure when I started the run, but couldn't be happier with the beautiful resto's versus fugly unrestored I would have had to settle for, for the same $$$ I'm the same way, and I'm "seeing the light." $$$ and trouble finding any of them makes resto seem more than fine. I'd surely consider it on the 29, and if I ever went for a 27 it would need to be a resto, without a doubt. Resto does not seem to effect Pre-Robins as much as other books in any form.

  12. Whats the degree of res on the 27? Ext. P , White pages That's a very nice book!

  14. That's incredibly cool to to find any 27. Must be a joy to own it.
  15. Definitely! My addition to the club. Wow now there's a solid 37, and the PQ is unreal OW/W. Hoping to upgrade from my 1.0 Cr/OW 37 one day. Thanks! Yeah, certainly beyond average pages for the grade. Hey, if I decide to sell it (No plans too), I'll drop you a note. Please do, I'd be very interested!

  17. My 28-37 run. Not the greatest picture, but the only one I have before being tucked away. This is one incredible run. Having the books is one thing but the grades on these bad boys is un-real. Like showcase said it really is the best run I've ever seen. Grade average and all. Your lowest grade in there is a 3.5 and on your highest books there is not a PLOD in the bunch. Really really a grand accomplishment.
  18. There's a coverless low grade Tec 31 on feeBay currently. http://cgi.ebay.com/DETECTIVE-COMICS-31-BATMAN-1ST-BATPLANE-COVERLESS-/120621390105?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c15985919 An estimates on the value?
  19. Great displaying book for the grade! (thumbs u
  20. I can't ever get enough of that cover. A great battle scene and terrific Yellow sand! Fantastic Pick up!
  21. I know I'm a bit late on this one...but wow! I'm going to state the obvious, but Captain America Comics #1 is truly one of the greatest books in our hobby. I know the opinions amongst Timely fans tends to vary, but one could make a good argument for Cap #1 being the #1 Timely (or even Marvel) comic of all-time. The fact that it features the first appearence of the Red Skull within the landmark first issue still amazes me to this day. It is unique like Batman #1 in that regard; only Cap #1 is also the first appearence of the title character too. Your copy is solid, and I love the display of the front-cover...which might very well be the greatest comic cover of all-time in its own right. I can't imagine what it must feel like to own such a legendary book. ...or perhaps now I can, just a little. Nice frames!
  22. That Tec 31 you've got on the Bay is a gorgeous copy, Gator! For the boardie whom asked earlier - Resto, even Extensive, seems to be smoldered when were talking about extremely demanded and tough GA books like the 31. (Though it still affects value, its not as hard as later issue) This is probably a bad example but: Tec 31's can sell from 3X to 5X guide - which is what we've all agreed is the general rule. So a 7.5 Tec 31 by the guide alone is worth $34,218.75 - so if you take that by 3 to 5x you'll get a whopping sum. (In generally speaking a 7.5 Blue 31 might even hit 5x-10x in an auction format who knows.) Now even though this Tec 31 has extensive resto.... This Tec 31 CGC 7.5 (EA) with an opening bid of $9,499 is a darn steal if it sold for that.
