  1. When I had a 5 day(2 weeks of illness total) all inclusive stay at the hospital I made sure one of the things I did before being admitted was inform the few boardies that were expecting books from me. All were understanding. Communication is key. Not that Jason needs any accolades from me or anyone else, but I can confirm what he says. I was one of those people expecting books from him and he PM'd me saying he was ill and would probably spend a couple of days at the hospital. When he recovered, he PM'd me again and we finished the deal. (thumbs u And guess what? Both of his emails started with a polite apology and he clearly explained the reason for the delay. (A delay which, to be honest, was not much of one to begin with - we're only talking about a couple of days, here!) And that's what it's all about: communication and common courtesy! Cap_Freak's behavior was totally unacceptable and completely unprofessional. Personally, I wouldn't buy a single thing from him, even if he gets out of the probation list
  2. How on earth did I miss those in the last VCCs? I need 6 issues to complete the run (#34 being one of them).

  14. I have a feeling this is going to be a significantly smaller club than the Spawn one. I wish I could join. I only have a 4th printing.
  15. Kudos to Zonker for some sweet bronze DC's. Kudos to Jeffreykli for a box full of high grade Miller Daredevils and other copper goodies. (thumbs u
  16. If you're talking about "real" collections, I'd say X-Men #1 is probably the worst offender. But if you're talking about the kind of "one longbox for 10 bucks collection" that eBay is filled with, I'd put Turok #1, Rai And The Future Force #9 and Magnus #21 far above the ones your mention. With these books, it's not only that they were produced in huge quantities, but that they also had much smaller sell-through (most copies stayed at the retailers back rooms). Heck, even the copies that were bought by fans were mostly discarded in the next couple of years. Oh, by the way, I have about 8-10 copies of Spawn #1, so I guess I can join the club too. (If someone starts a Turok #1 club, I'm going for a board position )
  17. Kudos to Warlord for a box full of 50-cent bargains that will fill some holes in my collection. (thumbs u Kudos to Flaming_Telepath for a bunch of ridiculously cheap early Sandmans and a super-sweet copy of Silver Surfer #4, which gets me closer to completing my Silver Age Surfer collection!

  19. Major kudos to PEP for another box of inexpensive (but absolutely necessary for a completist) coppers and moderns. (thumbs u
  20. Actually, I think they continued this practice until the late 60's to early 70's, at least. Pretty sad, when you think about how many comics (many of them now elusive in high grade or in general) were destroyed this way.
  21. Kudos to Transplant for some cheapie-cheap moderns that will fill holes in my collection and a couple of sweet hardcover graphic novels from the early 90's in like-new condition. Kudos to Count for a nice box of modern goodies. And even bigger kudos for hosting one of the coolest sales threads ever! (thumbs u
