My thoughts exactly. Actually cringed at some of the circa 1990 action movie dialogue. Maybe it is the best trailer so far. Still looks like a crappy movie that disrespects the source. Spot on with the dialogue: "What if we say no?" "Say yes." Brilliant. Right up there with the Jack-Rose exchanges in Titanic. The rest looks just as inspired. This is a super hero film. You're looking for inspired screenplay? Watch Scarface. "I always tell the truth. Even when I lie." Yes. Guys, Guys. Just don't watch any movies. Ever. Problem solved. I would die. It's a fact, I will watch every superhero movie that comes out (at least from Marvel and DC) because to me, it's always a new entry in the history of our hobby and I have no intention of missing out on it. Besides, regardless of what some people insist upon, there is always the chance it will be at least marginally enjoyable.

Agreed. People writing him off so quickly might want to rethink that.

I thoroughly enjoyed that one, and anyone who cares to tell me I'm wrong can go suck an egg. Still, there are a couple of things I can't get into, aka the Thing's CGI, Doom's face, and a couple of hokey lines in there. But I think I will enjoy this movie.

She wanted to make a statement with this film. Marvel probably told her no. Come on sweetheart, you just passed on a golden ticket. Opening weekend will probably bank more than Selma's whole run. She may have passed on a golden ticket, but I have a lot of respect for her if she did really pass on it because she felt that it wasn't going to wind up being the best it could creatively (from her POV). Many might see it as "selling out" if she took the cash cab anyway. :shrug:
