  1. I know that when Nick Pittara didn’t do my two commissions his rep dropped him and he had to find another one so what you say makes sense I eventually got my money back and Nick said he would do the commission for me anyway but of course that never happened either I told him all I wanted was my money anyway
  2. closed, moving elsewhere PM any interest One book today, New Mutants 98 CGC 9.4 white pages. $300 plus s/h. No Probies, HoS, or those that I have on ignore. No returns. s/h in US is $15 and international s/h is at cost on the label. Paypal, checks or money orders. Price is firm on this modern key. First in the thread or via PM gets the book. No issues with the case and no Newton Rings. Time payments available, PM for terms. Okay, without further eloquence...
  3. They move it to the gap between the front flap and the actual box so that it slips through the seam, or at least that is how I read this.
  4. I have been refreshing for two day, graded went to QC this morning but not yet shipped/safe! Not sure why I only sent in 3 moderns even if they are ASM300, NM98 and X-Men 266!
  5. @danchoi03 You need to drop the paypal dispute ASAP!
  6. I have done three local shows and won't do it again without a wall because people just pass you buy or don't look through enough to see the good stuff. Why not just be honest and say to those "bad" dealers that you want to trade but know their prices are too high to make a deak worthwhile or that you have had a hard time making deals with them in the past so best to just move on. Not everyone has to like you! An earlier poster also said to tell them no bulk deals right off the bat, that should work as well. But I agree, price the books and do not care who buys them, is isn't worth the stress on what should be a fun day for you!
  7. that is good advice, the interest on debt will accrue at a higher rate than the book will and you can be much less stressed without the debt. You can always reacquire the book when it is a better time financially but the interest piles up quickly. The money you save on interest alone is significant if your credit card rate is high. Do the math at your specific interest rate...if it is 20% and you pay off $2000 of debt you save $400 a year as well as not accruing compounded interest. Will the book go up $400 every year? It did spike a year or two ago but that is iffy while the interest is a definite.
  8. I sold a mid grade secret wars eight today on Facebook although that isn’t notable I mentioned it because it was the first time someone asked is this still available and then bought the book Now I just need to sell the three or four other mid grade copies I have
  9. In the modern era Robin Yount was a far better SS than Ripken. ARod crushes them all though, gotta give props where they is due. Now JLO gets the benefit of those roids!
  10. I plucked 3 out of a set at a closing store, they still have 1, 2, 4, 5 at 25% off the retail $39.99. I almost bought them all to offer as a set but no more profit was in it really than I could get with just the #3.
  11. Yeah, this was a very confusing sentence!
  12. If anyone sees The Goon Library #3, it is a monster on ebay. Retail is $39.99 and I just sold one for $165 shipped. There are 5 Goon Library editions but only #3 sells like this from what I see.
  13. I bid on this one and two others (Haunt of Fear and Tales from the Crypt) at the estate auction I went to Sat but they went for more than I wanted to spend. Nice!!!
  14. Bought these the other day. I do not know why pulps go for so little $ but glad they do. These are my first ones, very groovy! The dealer had more but these were the ones that tickled my fancy.
  15. While visiting my favorite comic shop for flip city I ran across a box of pulps and couldn't resist these two
  16. oops, left out a "d" thegradedcomic
  17. well, he retracted the return today and said it was a mistake from using the phone app. I'll let it go but wanted everyone here to know in case they also blocked him.
  18. yes and yes (there have been instances where it was done after the fact to scam people but generally it is a manufacturing error, a very groovy one at that!)
  19. When Parobeck died his art was fairly cheap and he was an "artist's artist". People have caught on since then.
  20. These two were hiding where I didn't see them! Brave and the Bold 80 Brave and the Bold 98 3.0/3.5 6.5 or so $6 $8
  21. That is pretty funny. I am going through the items now still. Bill Skienkiewicz!
  22. Sergio Argone Dave Cocrun (that one was on a sketchbook with Cockrum's name on the cover!) Brando Peterson Simonson's sketch with his distinctive signature unattributed Jae Lee unattributed Horrific mistakes but some very very cheap prices on the sketches and many slabs They should call me to verify stuff, I never realized what an expert I am but doing this for 30 years helps!
  23. Set Fisher fell off a roof a very tragic death at a very young age
  24. I was offered a tidy sum for the piece below, turned it down and then a day later changed my mind but the offerer ghosted me at that point. But PM me if you want to pay what he offered, which was a nice tidy sum as I said.
