  1. Well, it may be turned off buyers if you re-sell it. FYI, it has foxing stains. Mold is grey/black and smelly.
  2. Try this one. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/04/12/cgc-insider-8-effect-staining-comic-book-grading/
  3. Buy book not label is a true statement. Buying PGX books is at your risk. It's always 50/50 if it has a restoration or not.
  4. Three hours overdue. Where is the scan? FYI, I really wanted Famous Funnies #211 CGC 9.0 Frank Frazetta signature. Hopefully it will re-list on eBay soon.
  5. Assumed safely, it still looks like the original art to me even the signature is there.
  6. Never mind. They moved back to their old location. Sale tax online is everywhere right now. It sucks.
  7. You need to find your local comic shop and give them your wish list/selective list/subscription. Tell them that you want to keep them in NM condition. Also you have to give them your bags/boards to the dealer before the new comic books arriving on Wednesdays. That is what I did with my LCS. I used to subscribe comic books via other comic book store online (it's one hour of driving). I never had a problem from 2009 to 2015 until I got one or two damaged books per month (to save the shipping cost instead of weekly) so I decided to shift to my nearest comic book store. Only one negative about my LCS, they don't order variant comic books. They said it's too expensive and wanted to sell regular comic books to make the money. I seldom use my subscription online for the variant comic books that became my hit and miss mission but it's unpredictable like Batman Damned #1 - I had to drive 45 minutes to the little shop in a small town and had to pay $30 per copy instead of $6.99.
  8. I can empathize CGC graders being exasperating, intensely irritating or infuriating of nonsense. They grade the books all the day everyday every week every month and their eyeballs can be popped out. Little time to make a note each book I can understand well. Right now, you can get Batman Damned #1. They graded 7 @ 10.0 and 9 @ 9.9. You don't need to CPR those books.
  9. My guess is that we complain about the blank notes after paying big bucks. The mystery goes on.
  10. 10 - no note needed. 9.9 - one tiny note 9.8 - one teeny weeny note 9.6 - one little note 9.4 - one or two compact note go on....
  11. Stunning copy! I have to buy a lottery ticket soon.
  12. It's easy. Find that poster. Jigsaw the board around the edges then paste the poster on it. Stroke it with varnish. You attach with the clock on the board. It can be done by a high school student.
  13. There are plenty of them at insane low price.
  14. Did you pay $700-800 for it? I'd rather to return it and keep looking for 9.8 quality copy.
  15. Yes that one too. He should have called CGC if they have his book. I think he got confused by that point when USPS didn't update it.
  16. OP was worried about his package got lost in transit.
  17. It takes time. FYI, CGC went to two BIGGEST shows recently: Baltimore and NYCC. I am very sure that they have received about 5,000 plus comic books for grading/pressing/conserving/restoring before your book was submitted. It takes patience. I know I don't trust USPS. Did you go to the front clerk for the receipt? I always asked for the receipt so I could see the clerk scanning the bar code so the tracking number is in the system rather than seeing "Received" on the tracking eternity. Some corrupt postal workers take advantage of them. I never dropped the packages off at USPS without the receipts.
  18. Check the email to see if they don't use your name. If the email address doesn't show paypal.com, you have to report PayPal for pfishing and scam. PayPal can prevent them but can't stop everyone at once. They create everyday with new emails and different addresses. All you do is to protect yourself by determining if the emails are scams. The most annoying of all is getting calls from IRS and SSA (I got all messages). I get many other calls but I never got the messages so I block them included fake IRS and SSA. Real IRS and SSA are never calling that goes same thing with PayPal.
