I finally got around to sending in my top copy last week. It will be interesting to see what the final result is as I bought it from a boardie as a 9.2.

I was scared to bid on that after it got past $200.00. No back scan and the smallish offset miswrap. It does look nice though.

I think the buyer and seller made a deal outside of ebay as the seller cancelled the listing, so no GPA.

the 9.2 he has isn't SS, but the 9.4 is. He was asking $2,800 for the 9.4 SS last year.

Has anyone seen the two new ones listed on eBay?

Whoops... making that 1 copy now, the 9.2 from the same seller seems to have dissapeared.

This same seller had both of those books for sale last year too. If I remember correctly he had the 9.2 listed for $700.00 at the time. I made an offer above GPA at the time and he went on and on about how the book was worth the asking price. He must have felt the new $1,200.00 price was too low and yanked the ad.

I don't want to disclose who the buyer was, suffice to say, we negotiated a price and both parties are very happy.

Tough call. I had a similar predicament and decided to keep the book as is after consulting with an expert. My biggest concern was there is always a chance that it could come back a lower grade. I'd personally keep it the way it is as it is stunning.

42 pages of discussion for a comic that is a big deal because of an cool AWESOME cover, has no impact on the bat-universe, etc. we got our copies in various grades (I still can't believe I got a fairly presentable copy for $7 at my LCS like 6-8 months ago) and i think the topic was beaten like a dead horse and we moved on.

Was hoping it was in an old blue label. Just like GL 76 there doesnt seem to be any around in 9.4 or better

I know of at least 2 other 9.4's in an old holder. I have one of them.
