This copy presents extremely well, went about $80 more than what I thought it would fetch.

Yeah, this is a VF.......
Nice shanker on top left hand corner.
VF? A two year old could grade better.

I got this coming from across the pond and super stoked to have it in the "first appearances" collection.
Many thanks to Bane (Chris) & Flaming Telepath (Nick) for this key.
Awesome!

Here's the example from Levitz's oversized book. Compared to how much space is dedicated to Tec 402 and Bats 232, how can you NOT want this book
I dig the Tec 402 cover, too. Never have been a big fan of the 232 cover, although the story is good.

What a sweet set of books! Are they all for your personal collection or are some going up for sale?

Wow!!

It may have white pages, but man! ULFC
Crazy price.

i believe 2 of the recent 9.8 were pressed up from 9.6...simple deduction of 2 less 9.6 in the census and 2 more 9.8 in the census.
Correctomundo, Nick.

Wow. Yet another (4th) 9.8 has surfaced over at Heritage. This will be interesting.
4 9.8s? Wow maybe I'll finally be able to afford a 9.6
This new (upgraded) one is pretty sharp, too.

I purchased two nice books from Cristian. Very reasonably priced, accurate grading and excellent packing.
Thanks again, Cristian.

Apologies all around for veering the thread off course.
Let's try and git 'er back on track...
(Those darn thick slabs are a bear to image. Scanner glare be damned!)
Beautfiul book! Love that cover.

I know you guys are probably tired of hearing me say this over the years

Soft end times for items would lead to increased values on items, increased buyer's premiums, and more satisfied buyers! Why would buyers be more satisfied with higher prices and premiums?
Texas law allows for bidding by the auction house.Texas law allows for pretty much anything.
I think it's even legal in Texas to shoot your mother in law if she opens her mouth too much too?
The Lone Star state, eh?

I saw that this morning!!
What's the deal with this??
Some drunk seller typed in the wrong asking price when listing the book.
-
Latest grail added to my collection! Thanks to the boardie who made this acquisition possible. You know who you are.
Sweet book!
Does this mean a 9.2 or 9.4 undercopy will become available?
-
This is just way cool.
Wow, I remember having this hanging in my room when I was young. It came as an insert in CBG if my memory is right. Very cool!

I guess the book's been hot of late. I don't have the long term perspective some of you do, but since returning to the hobby only 4 months ago, I've noticed that this book sells really well regardless of condition. I'm not surprised with the amount the 8.5 got even with the C/OW pages, but I did thought the 9.8 with white pages was a little lower than expected (although not by much). Interesting to see what the 9.8 over at Heritage will end up with.

$6,273.75
It went for more than what I thought it would considering the CC 9.8 WHITE went for $6,511.00.
Both were technically 9.8's, but the CC book presented considerably better and had better page quality.
-
Just another low grade reading copy. Condition is nice, but pages are a little tanner than l'd like though.
Hoarder!

What a haircut in 2 years. Half price from the high and this copy presents similarly to the first graded 9.8. This one does have white pages to boot. 3 copies of 9.8's really has brought prices back in line.
The Heritage 9.8 should go for less due to the miswrap and lesser page quality. It currently sits at $4,250.00.

I just started reading Daredevil from #1, enjoying the hell out of it! I am also thinking of collecting Daredevil Keys. I recently bought a copy of DD #1.
Can you guys make a list of Daredevil Keys or "must have issues".
Please post or PM me. I would like to start the hunt.
Thanks a bunch!
Dom
Daredevil 7 is a key (red costume). And I'll shamelessly plug Daredevil 16 as a key or at least semi-key as it is a Spiderman crossover with the first artwork of John Romita on Spiderman. (thumbs u

Ok, which one of you bought this 9.2 white?
Seller came down over a hundo on it.
I made a lowball offer and got shot down.

Priceless
Awesome book, Doc! (thumbs u

Anyone see the c-link auction for Batman 251, I didn't see that one coming!
Wow, that's pretty amazing. Over double GPA? Very nice book but.......

I saw that this morning. He has a few books up for auction with tape. I think he should submit it to CGC for "Unnoticeable Tape" pedigree status.
Is Batman 227 the "key" Neal Adams Batman book to have?

That's how I see it as well. Kudos to the seller for being proactive on showing the biggest fault on the book! (thumbs u
