- I sent in 2 books to CGC. One was a Journey into Mystery 83 that was previously graded 6.0 Universal by CGC.
If the Journey into Mystery 83 had already been graded, why did you need to send it in to be graded again?
The crack and resub game - hope for a better grade.

Very cool. One of my favorite McFarlane covers.
What are the differences between the American 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prints?
-
Definitely not the most popular book on the planet, but one of my favorite covers.
Dark Shadows #1 from Dynamite. Signed by Francesco Francavilla. Only two copies of this book on the census. This is the only copy with this cover and its also the highest graded (other is a 9.6).
Sorry for the cellphone pic:

Everyone keeps saying Rocket is going to be huge with kids. Parents are OK with their kids watching and adoring a character with huge guns blazing a lot (killing)? I don't see how this would be OK for Saturday morning cartoons.
I had a toy Freddy Kruger glove when I was a kid in the 80's. No one said anything about that back then.

Two lines in this interview stuck out to me:
He’s the most un X-Men X-Man that’s ever been in X-Men.
and this gem:
I’m already working on the accent. It’s crappy at the moment.
Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw was bad. Channing "Magic Mike" Tatum as Gambit is horrid. The only thing that could top this would be casting The Rock as Apocalypse.

What is cover price on Superior Spidey 31? $5.99?
-
Wow. A graph on that looks like a roller coaster. The low print run early is a little surprising.
It was 2005. Pre movies.
-
#34 (Bucky becomes the new Cap) the one to stock up on now while they are still cheap. There are a couple of variants also.
Is that vol. 5?
I'm getting the feeling that the movies are headed towards a Civil War type storyline, especially if Chris Evans' Steve Rogers is killed off in the movie universe.

I believe that many collectors would consider an ASM 238 with the tattooz removed to be incomplete.
Therefore not of the same value as a copy of ASM 238 that is complete, correct?

after getting a Fantastic Four book SS by Stan at WW Philly last year I can understand. Most of the people in line were gawking at me for having the book in a holder with a cut out window for sig placement. They all had random BA beaters in their hands. I guess they were either thinking "get rich quick" or just caught up in the general mania of Stan being there.
I know this is a rare thought on these boards, but the vast majority of comic book readers/collectors do not get books signed with the intent of earning a profit off of it. I would imagine some of those bronze age beaters could have been OO copies that were signed by Stan with the owner having zero intention of ever selling it.
I know when I was in line at Heroes two years ago to get Stan's sig the people around me had all kinds of stuff to get signed. It was pretty exciting seeing everything that people brought for Stan to sign. I remember an AF 15, FF 48, couple of omnibus, and a KISS marvel super special.

Isn't that Ryan's book?

I'd be very surprised if CGC eats a 5-6k book.
Wouldn't be the first time.
There's a thread around here somewhere where a 3rd print TMNT 1 was mislabeled and sold as a 9.8 1st print.
Ha ha this always comes up. That was PGX and may have been some sort of scam.
Nope. Not that story. This was a CGC mislabel that they made right. Look a few pages back in this thread. Someone linked to it.

Wasn't that the same music from one of the Man of Steel trailers?

What about the new Robocop mini that's out written by Frank Miller? I picked the last copy up at a shop a few weeks ago, and I noticed at my LCS and one other I've visited since that they had sold out.

Modern non FT
Received 6/03/2013
Shipped 8/23/2013
If you are counting business days Monday thru Friday without taking out for time CGC is at cons this order was at 60 business day. So with con days this one clocked in in the mid 50's.
Still way better than last year. I subbed non-FT moderns at Heroes late June 2012 and didn't get them back til around Thanksgiving.

My username comes from my undergrad days. Brothers in my fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho, had usernames on aol that started with 'aggr' which I adopted. The 1103 comes from my fraternity stud number, which is basically my roster number for the chapter. I was the 1,103rd brother in the Nu Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho.
My avatar pic is pretty self-explanatory.

No problem dude.

Leauge of Legends too.I think my favourite part of this Elvishaha character is that he uses that user name on other websites where he reveals pretty detailed information about himself. Please, can we make this a house of cards thread? I want home photos and photoshop awesomeness
He seems to be an avid player of Sims.
He downloaded a wall hack for Black Ops 2. No skill. . He has to cheat in real life and in game. Pathetic.
-
He's pulled this same shenanigan once before:
Ended on Christmas 2011 with a 15k winning bid.

Wonder what the repercussion for a fraudulent listing like that is?

It could've ended up like Capone's vault, which would've been worse than finding something IMO.
