I don't think there's anything 9.8 coming off the rack at my LCS the way they handle books and how they display them!

My LCS bags and boards every new release every week. Only damage I ever see on books I buy comes from mishandling at Diamond or shipping.

Bought this one from capt_comics at Heroescon and subbed it while I was there. VERY happy with the result.

This one is just, well...

I just wouldn't put it past them to pull a bait and switch. They completely disregarded their consumer base, and I'm fairly sure that the only reason they suddenly turned was the pre-order numbers after E3. They don't want Sony getting that lead.

If they hadn't have changed their mind, the Xbox One would have been Microsoft's last foray in consoles.

 

It is my opinion there will be no more consoles after this gen.

Now that the DRM issue has been scrapped... I buy mostly used games.

I've been wondering since that was scrapped what might have been with regards to downloadable games on the Xbox One. I can imagine that's what MS was hoping to ultimately transition to.

Steam always has great sales. I'm hoping Sony and Microsoft follow suit.

FYI - Xbox is having a pretty awesome sale today. Borderlands 2 for $9.99 today only. I picked up the original Mass Effect because I've always wanted to play it for just $4.99.

Borderlands and a few others are only good for today. New deals tomorrow and each day after until July 5th.

That's the beauty of it - its not about zombies. And the group of people continues to grow. New characters springing up as old characters get their brains and eyeballs beat out with baseball bats. And how much time has actually lapsed in the comic since issue 1? Getting awfully close to 10 years of being in print.

I think it goes down in history as the seminal book of whatever this age of comics is.

This was. It seems like a lot of modern fast tracks from the show are starting to go out.

Yeah. Mine were graded Monday. Seems like the time between grading and encapsulation and shipping isn't as long as it once was.

I'm sorry but if anyone is buying an xbox or ps to access Netflix, they are doing it wrong.

 

Not that I'm doubting you, but I don't have a roku, apple tv, app loaded tv or blu ray player. I am curious though - do they offer anything more than an xbox or playstation?

 

The roku is ease of use. My wife hobby is quilting. While she is making a new quilt she likes to have some background noise. I got her a tv and a roku for her quilting room. We then subscribed to Netflix and Amazon prime. Now she has a wide range of shows to watch. Last i checked she was going through the seasons of My Name is Earl and Quincy. It's easy to setup, easy to use and just works. If we hooked up the xbox to her tv she would be frustrated, to many screens. Dont get me wrong i use Netflix through the xbox, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Maybe the experience with the xbox one will be easier, but I don't see how you can improve on the roku. I recommend it for anyone who has Netflix.

So while the Netflix option on the xbox/ps is nice, I don't see this as being a factor in getting either system. To many easier ways of accessing the service.

I see your point, but even at $299 I think the PS3 is a worthwhile purchase as a media player because you're getting a quality blu ray player along with streaming options like netflix.

Well, they do give the seller the option to offer the item to the next highest bidder. At least when I used to sell on Ebay they did that. Do they not offer that option any more?

I probably could have phrased that better. I meant to say that eBay doesn't do anything to help buyers weed out deadbeat bidders. I'd love to be able to look at the status of a high bidder and see that they've had multiple non-paying strikes against their account and therefore cancel their bids.

Called this morning. Modern FT books submitted to CGC at Heroes were graded yesterday and are currently awaiting encapsulation.

There's a 300 page thread regarding the topic right there on page one in the Signature room.

That thread is epic in a sad, sad way.

Post a pic of a UPS sticker from CGC, couple weeks later books that boardies apparently paid for show up on ebay.

You still need a cable box...not that I have cable, but you are going into the Xbox One from your cable box...if they were smart it would be a dvr too.

 

Having both a 360 and a ps3, the ps3 is far superior for streaming and handling non-gaming content. Netflix is way better on ps3 by a pretty wide margin. The app on xbox has trouble handling my large queue.

I don't have a PS3, but my clan is multiplatform and the folks that have both say that Xbox Live is much more dependable than the Playstation Network. I see alot of guys who game on the PS3 watching Netflix and Hulu Plus on the Xbox.

I'm going back to PS4 with the next gen though. Finally allowing party chat across multiple games was what sealed the deal for me.

I heard and I could be wrong in order to access Netflix and other non X-box Content you need to have a Xbox gold account on teh Xbox 1.

 

With PS4 you do not need to have any kind of membership

That is correct for Xbox. Think so on the PS4, but you will need PS Plus to play mutliplayer on the PS4.
