That's good to hear, we'll give it another try. The kid from Shameless is a great actor - that's why we watched it in the first place, so with that little observation, I think we'll put it back on the watch list.

I know it starts off with some intense moments, but it's much more than that. Such a great show.

And the actor who played Cousin Richie seems perfect to play Ben Grimm. He really nails the street-tough, vulnerable, hurting but also angry kind of character.

Especially the one who got caught red-handed selling WATA Atari games.

It's just scandal upon scandal at this point.

It's ridiculous that employees aren't allowed to grade/sell their own books when OWNERS have been doing it since day one. I'm not saying employees should, but zoom out and see the big picture that's been there since the beginning, when CGC stakeholders were also stakeholders in Heritage. Total conflict of interest that was spotlighted by the WATA mess, with stakeholders manipulating the market for their own gain.

If they ever want to earn back trust they should disclose if any of the previous stakeholders (or board members) still have a minority ownership after the BlackRock acquisition. And if stakeholders are still allowed to grade/sell their own books.

Well I've been reluctant to chime in on this train wreck, but my thoughts when i saw the post about "she stole my second set of keys" were this is an attempt to set up a reason books are missing.

That jumped out to me as well. I'm guessing she's just as much of a train wreck as Mike is. I don't think he's using that as an excuse (yet). But I do suspect that she's part of his new messed up life and probably in and out of his shop, his home, (his RV???), and around what comics he does have. What a nightmare. Not one tweaker, but potentially 2 or more.

    Well, I tried!

Certain people have said it wasn't punchy enough, well I'm not a journalist, nor do I invite people onto my channel to "gotcha" them.

    I thought it was great.

And a solid PR move since Matt was able to address a few concerns and also remind everyone that CGC isn't a faceless corporation, but populated with a lot of people who are lifelong comic enthusiasts.

I have the answers to what you want to know (with proof)!

Ok, first off I met Mike Dechellis for the first time on December 22nd 2023 right after he got out of jail. Mike was in jail with my husband (who is still in jail by the way). My husband told me to get ahold of Mike because he told my husband that if I drove him to the impound lot to get his things and then to his office that he had the 2000 to bail out my husband at his office. My husband also said Mike could help me get my website/online business up and running finally. Mike told my husband that he could help because he was running multiple businesses and was a good business man. So after he got out of jail I picked him up from Linn County Jail and drove him to Corvallis to run his errands. We finished and i parked in front of the building where his office is. He told me he would be right back. 45 min later he comes down and says his money hasn't hit yet. I asked him what he meant. He tells me the money from eBay hasn't transfered  to his bank yet. He tells me he would just give it to me when we do my website the following day. A few days later Mike finally texts me to come to his office to start my business website. He said it would only be a "few days task" of getting my business running. So I drove to Corvallis to meet him at his office. On the drive to meet him he sent me a text asking if me or my husband knew of anyone that bought "expensive comics". I didn't but I told Mike I would ask my husband the next time he called me from the jail. A few hours later my husband gave me a number to pass along but Mike no longer wanted the number. I found out why the next few times I was in his office. This guy was on eBay and talking 200 words per min then he was helping me get my business up and running. Like an hour into me being at his office he had to leave and go look at an RV that he got for a great deal of $10,000. And he asked if I would drive him to go pick it up and he would pay me for my time and gas. He told me it was in Brownsville about 25 min away. About a mile from the Brownsville exit he tells me the one he's getting is in Woodburn. 35 minutes later we got to the RV lot and I was just thankful I didn't have to listen to him talk anymore. He asked me to wait until he gets the keys before I left. Just in case the sale fell through. Over 2 hours later he finally is driving his RV out of the lot. He texts me and tells me to meet him at his office and we'll do more work on my website and he'll give me the bail money for my husband and money for driving him to get the RV.  I got back to his office and by now it's almost dark. I text him that I was there and it was getting late and we could work on my website the next day and that I would just like to go bail my husband out of jail. NOTHING... I finally figured at 11pm he wasn't coming back there. And yet again I left back to Salem. On December 29th 2023 I drove up to Corvallis where Mike told me to meet him at his office at noon. A little before noon I texted him to let him know I was outside. Mike finally texts me back at 2pm to let me know he would be to his office shortly. He finally showed up at 3:50pm then we went up to his office again he went straight on eBay. I told Mike I just wanted to see what my website looked like and I had to get to Albany because I had a visit with my husband at the jail. I also asked him I he could jump my car because I drained my battery waiting for him. He hooked up the jumper cables the wrong way and fried my battery. Now I was stuck. He said he would buy me a new battery but it wouldn't be until the next day. I ended up sleeping in my car annoyed and mad. The next morning I texted Mike about the battery. He didn't respond for a few hours and said he was headed to Walmart to get my battery and that he needed 6 batteries for his new RV. Its new years eve and everything was closed. So I was stuck in Corvallis again. Mike showed up to his office after 6 pm and asked me to go up to his office because he had some questions about my website. As im sitting in his office and he starts talking to me I can smell the alcohol. He was drunk. Before we could even talk about my website. He starts telling me things that blew my mind. Mike starts telling me how he was selling his clients comics on eBay because he didn't care and hero restoration was already closed for business, then he tells me that he's been addicted to METH for the past 2 years and he went to jail for drugging his x-girlfriend without her knowing and kicking in her door. He then started saying inappropriate things to me like he had the date rape drug and was going to put it in my soda, tie me up and do sexual things to me. I got the hell out of there an went down to my car and locked the doors. I started my new year in my car freaked out about what had happened. The next morning Mike knocked on my window and says he has a new battery for my car. I opened the hood of my car and he put in the new battery. I told Mike as soon as my husband calls I'm going to tell him what he had said to me and that he was a a nasty creep and I was going to expose him.

Before I got to the meth part my first thought was, "Oh...no...the dude's on heroin."

My nephew was a heroin addict and that erratic behavior, plus always late, overpromising, with a million excuses, but also being weirdly happy and upbeat despite the obvious chaos...is how my nephew was when he was using. And he never once thought we noticed how his behavior was absolutely off the rails.

Mike being an addict would explain a lot.

So we're still withholding the name of this shop from those not-in-the-know?

The shop in question is Comic Book Station in Brooklyn.

They're very active on social media, and by the photos, it looks like a great shop.

Any connection to the switched comics is alleged at this point, but it appears that they may have sold switched books (perhaps unwittingly).

The heat gun in that one photo is a bad look. The paper cutter, not so much. I have one in my workshop as well, as do lots of people. I don't have a heat gun.

Getting ahead of the FF movies coming out by posting the FF48 books in prep for them to fly off the shelf when Silver Surfer shows up in a trailer? Seems like there are very few "key" characters that haven't appeared in the MCU, SS being one of them (don't count FOX appearance).

I wish it was just that book, but you can look at most books and see an insanely abundant supply.

There are 240+ graded copies of ASM129 on eBay at the moment, again, not counting the raws.

So many sellers, so few buyers.

Seems like quite a different situation to me. There can be no dispute about who the driver was, the work done to not confuse similarly named people in their investigation seems perfectly normal. In this instance, the name of the person(s) involved can be masked, forged, stolen as their crimes are faceless.

Does anyone really believe that whoever did this stole someone else's identity? Did they use someone else's name, email, credit cards, mailing address, and eBay account?

Suspects are named all the time, for any number of circumstances, even online fraud. They just use the word "allegedly" which allows for a lot of leeway.

Absolutely no one should be named until the matter is fully investigated and indictments filed. We have no idea who may actually be behind the curtain and it’s possible CGC doesn’t know for sure either. It could all be stolen identities in play, and announcing to the world who the perp they think it might be without sufficient proof and conviction on record is a recipe to have your bum handed to you in a defamation suit.

problem here is that in the parallel coin case, it doesn’t appear as if the named individual suffered any criminal consequences at all… free to screw people over down the road.

My wife's first husband was killed when he was hit by a semi. The news articles reported the trucking company, because they were at fault, though negligence was disputed. The driver was named. There was another man in town with the same name as the driver. The attorneys were careful not to confuse the two men when they were doing background checks and looking at previous criminal records and driving and employment records. People knew who the driver was for almost five years before a settlement was reached.

Unless there's a compelling reason for a judge to redact everything, people get named ALL the time.
