  1. I bought a copy in better condition and then sold my old copy. Hard to believe it was only a $17 spread between the two! BTW, Kirk, that 7 comic Batman Collection is very cool. Never seen that before! And congrats on the dup #706! For some things rarity trumps condition, at least to an extent. Any copy is going to sell for a particular price, and condition is more of the cherry on top of actually finding one.
  2. The Superman related books, especially Death/Funeral books are pretty tough and pricey. Personally I haven’t noticed the same patterns with the Batman event books. YMMV
  3. Selling off a large lot of NM Astro City books I picked up in a collection. You will get everything listed/pictured below. If you want individual scans of any books I am happy to oblige, just not all of them! First person to post via the thread or PM will get the books. Timestamp rules. Payment via Paypal, check, or MO. Shipping will be via media mail and included in the price, shipping to the US only. Returns are possible if I somehow misrepresent the lot, but return shipping will be on the buyer. Remember, this is a bulk lot so I get all of the books back if you return it. If you have any questions at all about what is included please ask! Astro City instant collection (47 total books) Astro City (Image/Homage) #1-6 and both versions of 1/2 Astro City (Vol. 2, Homage) #1-22 Dark Age Book One #1-4 (full run) Dark Age Book Two #1-4 (full run) Local Heroes #1-5 (full run) A Visitor's Guide Special (Oct, 2004) Special (Sept, 2006) The Flip Book Asking $50 shipped in the US
  4. No map of the vendor floor yet, but I did find this very handy map of downtown with parking areas around the convention center that might be useful.
  5. They snuck Jill Thompson onto the list! She’s worked on Sandman and plenty of other good titles, and even did a variant cover on Dark Knight 3 if anyone is getting those signed.
  6. Web of Spider-man #36 CGC 9.8 is at $351 in the Clink auction with time left (not my book, just recalling that we discussed it being tough in 9.8).
  7. I've got a raw run, many of which are my well-loved original owner copies, and I keep meaning to sit down and give it a full read. I've read them all, just not in order, and it has been a while. Much better series than it is often given credit for. And yes, I have the toy.
  8. Love this title and have always wanted a graded #1. Picked it up at a fair price for a bid I frankly forgot about, and it helps cut the per book shipping from my other win.
  9. Very cool! Do you (or anyone, for that matter) happen to know if those two packs are always consistent in their contents?
  10. Facebook is saying that guest announcements will start tomorrow... Facebook page
  11. If it isn't worth your time then don't feel you need to do it. I didn't think my initial question was in any way ill-intentioned, and I'm sorry you apparently took it that way. I'll be happy to google all my show info from now on. I'm just glad the folks at the Toronto show aren't going to have to google these names to find out what they do:
  12. Sheesh, someone could also take a suggestion in the manner in which it was intended, to be helpful to those interested in the guests being announced. Someone could wonder why we bother to have a thread here about the show if the research needs to be done via Google.
  13. Definitely. Since I moved to Kansas I haven't been able to attend as many of the Texas shows as I would like. I'm really looking forward to your show and will try to find you to say hello!
  14. That’s what I figured, but it couldn’t hurt to add something to that effect on the graphic. It’s not obvious with voice actors.
  15. Somehow I read that as "coverup", like some sort of conspiracy.
  16. This may seem like a stupid question, but I am guessing that these ladies are the voice talent behind some characters in these films? I'm not enough of a Disney nut to know.
  17. I’m biased, but hit Dallas Fan Expo in April and WW Chicago in August if shopping for books is your focus. Then everyone is happy.
  18. This is why I’d think that chopping the label off in such a post would be reasonable. Celebrate the book and win while respecting the venue by not providing any publicity to the competition.
