  1. I was just thinking about this again. Why isn't slicing the label off ok? We show raw books here all the time, and they are not CGC graded (obviously). Is showing another slab sans label really that different? As long as the book isn't being offered for sale, which would be a clear no-no, I'm not sure why chopping the label off would be a violation in a thread like this. Maybe I am being dense.
  2. I thought it also had something to do with folks suggesting that their wins might be for sale if anyone were to inquire.
  3. Looks like I will be coming in for Saturday and maybe part of Sunday. I simply couldn't resist this amazing lineup! Really looking forward to the show!
  4. Purchased a Silver Surfer #1 & 3 and the transaction was flawless! Hope to buy from you again sometime!
  5. It's going to a good home. I could bring it to Chicago in August if you would like to say hello. I think this is the second or third time that I have posted a book that was originally one of yours, it is apparently becoming a habit (and a nice one for my collection).
  6. My pic in the first post broke, so here it is again.
  7. Prices are getting a bit nutty on eBay for the TBP...
  8. Probably my only win this month, glad my bid held up.
  9. Gorgeous copy, glad you got this one. Love the Uncanny Tales too.
  10. This also gets into your definition of “key”. I doubt I’m in the minority in questioning whether 1st Baron Strucker ever elevated to key status. Movie hyped for 30 minutes? Definitely. I don’t think the Hulks you mentioned are key for those very minor characters that appear within, they’re a certain level of key because they’re single digit Hulks. Just like ASM#7-8 aren’t key because of 2nd Vulture or the Living Brain, they’re desirable because they’re single digit ASM.
  11. I forgot to be there to snipe the book I wanted, but luckily my fairly stout tracking bid more than held up. I’ll get a pic up later.
  12. I don’t think it’s that unusual, and I’m seeing it more at larger pop culture shows like this one. It doesn’t bother me (they’re definitely better than booths for bathroom reno, essential oils or insurance), and there are plenty of fans that use their services.
  13. I'm unaware of any stickered books that don't also exist as printed DCUs, so I don't think we have broken them out. Anything stickered is thus on the list already by default. I'd also question whether they are even consistently done, or are instead one-off anomalies that were made on a case by case basis when needed to fill out multipacks. I would lean towards the latter, and thus for me they are nifty curiosities rather than a true subset of DCUs.
  14. Welcome @LittleRandRComics, that was quite an entrance! I’m always excited to see new DCUs for the list. As for the Animaniacs two pack that you reference with Pinky and the Brain, it is #15 in that two pack (I have a sealed one) and it is a DCU. I’m not aware of a #16 DCU either, and I’ve got all the known DCUs in that title.
  15. Saw a news item announcing dates. Home page
  16. I'm very seriously considering it. Very seriously. Barring weather or something else unforeseen I think so. If I can help you out with anything shoot me a PM.
  17. If Stan will be there I can’t imagine there not being one. Someone will step up.
  18. Facebook page Thought I would get the word out for anyone in eastern Kansas. It is a smaller show, but there should be decent books in the room. I will be set up, and looking forward to it!
