    It would be nice to get TTA and TOS out of the way early, not to mention Strange Tales. Those pre-hero heavy auctions are great, but sometimes tough to wait up for past my bedtime.

    Agree but you never know how high the winning bidder would have gone. His max bid could have been to the moon. In some cases, I think certain players put in an uber high bid to make sure they win, especially on single highest graded, variants, etc. Definitely true, but in those cases where I am outbid by a little bit I wonder if I could have had a shot.

    Several hundred dollars bothers me a heck of a lot less than being sniped by $5. If someone wants to pay strong money over my bid I tip my cap, but losing by a tiny amount plays right into the second guessing game.

    The SS copy had the Stan Lee signature across Moon Knight's face, so that poor placement likely affected the hammer price of the signed copy.

    I’ve never seen that many of the same issue, but I’ve seen 4-5 copies of the same DCU at places within the last 2-3 years. I’ve wondered if it’s possible that overstock from back in the day could have been sold off in bulk. The likelihood of a shop amassing this many copies through collection purchases seems unlikely.

    There are two types of inner well (at least), and all the older slabs definitely have them. You may not see the wells at the upper corners, but you’ll see the welds around the edges inside the slab.
