    I had an economy fast track hit graded on Friday, and even though it’s Sunday I still can’t help checking to see if it’s shipped.

    I fold the end of the tape strip over to give me a pull tab. Works perfectly every time to remove the tape cleanly to either reuse or replace.

    Ashcan. That's a good call. I was struggling with an equivalent but that is probably about as close as comics get to a prototype or test shot.

    Anyone got any photos of this Secret Wars semi truck? Never even heard of it!

    If I read the descriptions correctly the figures are basically late stage prototypes or test figures. That makes them much rarer (and cooler) than your typical loose figure.

    I looked at them. Vintage Star Wars is something I’d love to get back into, but not enough funds or storage space for everything I’d love to own.

    Skipping weekends makes these larger auctions take forever. I’m not sure why they think that Friday nights are somehow better for bidder attention than Saturday or Sunday, seems to me if they’re going to skip a day it’d be Friday...

    I didn’t know they did that. I’d think if someone were going to do that they’d bring their A game, and a 10% premium is not going to cut it.

    I’ve got one reasonably serious bid out in hopes of making a better value on shipping. May also try to bottom feed a bit, but at first glance I didn’t see any screaming values that interested me.

    Thanks, I thought so too. I'm waiting to see what the back cover looks like, but even then I am quite happy to have this one.

    Thanks, I certainly don't try to be a grade snob. With these early pre-hero Marvels it is book first, grade second. I like 6.0, but in books like this it often isn't possible without a time machine.

    Picked this one up. A bit lower grade than I’d like, but these early JIMs don’t exactly grow on trees.

    Spidey Super Stories #13-14, not ASM (which ended at #441).

    I just need #13-14 in CGC 9.4 or better to complete my registry set. Been looking a long time...the title is definitely a challenge to complete in grade. Quite a few later issues have like 1-2 graded copies.
