  1. Yep, I'd assume the secondary titles were distributed to less newsstands than Amazing but people here only seem to focus on the ones where the newsstand price difference gets a newsstand label from CGC. Sparky/Marwood and Dutch74 add some detail in the comments.
  2. No problem, there's an explanation At this link.. That article is good, some of the others on the rare comics blog site are a bit skewed or built on bad info.
  3. I ignored the whole thing, I already told you once.
  4. During the "Brand New Day" three times per month schedule "friendly, sensational & amazing" rotated on the UPC description for ASM newsies.
  5. For the original series it looks like there's a 4 volume trade paperback set that reprints all but issue 16 (presumably omitted for Fu Manchu copyright) This MCS Link will show you what they look like.
  6. Entire post quoted, nothing of value added.
  7. I agree that the other things like second print, reprint are easy for experienced people to recognize but the quotation mark recommendation for labeling is to indicate that something has changed that disqualifies it from literally being a first appearance. The simplest argument I can make is to share the definition of the word first. "FIRST" - coming before all others in time or order, earliest; 1st
  8. No & CGC should be identifying later prints of a "first appearance" in quotes to bring attention to the qualified nature of the 1st appearance like they do with a retconned "death". The only no quotation mark first appearance should be the first print. So a second print w/ first cover appearance like the Ms Marvel book should read <"first sppearance", first cover appearance Ms Marvel>
  9. I was flipping through and glancing at the Spidey action stuff for matches but reading the Peter Parker/supporting cast stuff slowed me down. Off the top of my head the first one reminded me of a Tarantula fight (it's not 134/135) or maybe Hammerhead and the second might be from the end of 171...my Marvel Tales end at 159 and I don't feel like peeling open mylars or digging out my OO beaters...since I'm already the points leader
  10. I flipped through some Marvel Tales and didn't find any matches but it made me realize how long it's been since I read some of those issues from the 130's &140's. I'll do more "research" later tonight.
  11. I'm no expert in dealing with USPS claims but their proof of value request doesn't appear to be related to what you paid (based solely on what you posted). I think I've seen others post in the past that it does but the excerpt shared only appears to be asking for "proof" using documentation related to your sale.
  12. I recall that CGC was doing Blue label w/note but I could be misremembering it. I know it was discussed a few times in the "Ask CGC" forum. I don't know how CGC could determine whether a book was manufactured without a sticker since there's only a bit of easily removed gooey junk holding them in place.
