  1. Geez Tim, that 312 is unreal. One of may all time favorite issues!

And no, your analysis didn't put anyone to sleep. I find it hard to post anything meaningful at work, and even harder to get online at home!

I really wish a Marvel guy would take a look at this thread, and say, I need to give the legion a try, and read a couple of the two-parters or classic early issues we have discussed. These were such fun stories to read! They aren't Lee and Kirby good, but they were very good, very fun. I cant stop thinking that describes them best.

Ok, do we need a 309? Not Tim quality, but a nice copy.

I'm noticing interest in Superboy in our area and have watched several boardies quietly snagging them on the boards.... they're cool books with stories that are often fairly clever..... and don't break the bank, outside of a handful of keys. GOD BLESS...

Two sales of note recently, a number 1 in 8.0 for 9K (a record for that grade), and $3,300 for an 8.0 number 8.

I think its cool to see some love for these early issues.

  3. One of my favorite comics of all time. My first LSH story and first Teen Titans. Bought one of these off the rack at 7-11, this and a slurpee for 75 cents. I loved the Super Moby  of Space story. I love that BB 54 story even more. The original covers had me salivating for original books. I was 11 years old, this book was my tipping point.

After the landmark issue #300,  Adventure Comics belonged to the LOSH barring the occasional Superboy story reprint. #301, as already posted, had a non Legion cover.

#302 is quite a difficult book in nice condition. It was likely a popular buy. The origin of Sun Boy’s power will be explored in issue #348, which for a 1966 book, is also very hard to find in high grade.

The Legion chain gang is 359/360. To further wreck the pattern other classic two parters are 346/347 and maybe the greatest of all two parters 352/353.

Thanks for setting me straight in the numbers, I was trying to do it from my head and didn’t check. I do know this, there were a number of awesome two parters. People denigrate DC all the time but I fell like these Legion stories in Adventures that we’re talking about represent some of the very best story telling DC had at the time. I’m not sure off the top of my head if they are all Jim Shooter stories, but I think a number of them are.
