  1. Many iconic SS covers and Can't argue with any but I have always lover SS # 15.I had a coverless #2 that I read the spoon out of. SS #15 (maybe 14) was the first cover I remember seeing. My favorite character is Thor so #193 naturally finds a spot on this list. Honorable mention goes to MGC #35
  2. Silver Surfer Cosmic Powers 1995 VF $ 1.00 these too
  3. Myth Adventures lot $ 1.00 F/VF 7, 8, 10, 11 these
  4. I have seen pics of another issue,on Ebay I think, and pretty sure the A in the title stands for Adult,as in adult entertainment.
  5. That's pretty much the same list but the one I used had pics. Was going to puit in a link but all that transfers is 401 error. His estate may have taken it over.
  6. Does anyone know what happened to the Dave Stevens checklist web site? it now requires a log in to access it.No idea how to get one for it so we're out in the cold.In case anbyone haden't seen it,it was probably 99.99% complete listing of Dave's work, listed by publisher.I discovered a lot of pieces I never knew about.I knew I should have made a copy of it! There were some action figure cards he did the art for,Star Wars or MTOU,can't remember which, that looked really good.Would like to have some comic book or mag sized repos of them.Never been into action figures.
  7. Sweet looking books and to be prized in any collection but you have only scratched the surface. There is soooooo much more fun coming your way once you jump in with both feet.
  8. I got to looking at copies on Ebay and they all have Turkish Taffy ad in the bottom right square where yours is blank.Inclined to agree about being very early in the printing. They may have forgotten to put the ad in.Very rare & cool for sure.
  9. That's gotta' be the Ultimate Charlton! Where & how did you get it?
  10. Hmmmmm.Wonder what even happened to Charlton Guy.Never heard much from him after he opened a book store years ago.
  11. Pretty cool.Did Scholastic publish this? I had a Flintstones PB credited to Charlton but distributed by SBS.
  12. Only one I have.Scored it off Ebay about 13/14 years ago for 99 cents. Seriously
  13. Don't remember seeing this one posted so, 1962 L.Miller #1 with Dan Berry Falsh.Back up feature Hi & Lois.What a combo!
  14. Been after a nice affordable copy of this for a loooooooooooooong time.BC add for your enjoyment!
  15. Ya' just had ta' suck me back in dinnja' ? Normalman full run of 12 books, plus 3-D Annual #1. $25 Black Zeppelin # 1-3. $3 for all 3 Airboy and Mr. Monster #1. F+. $1 @ 50% off Dang it! Freebie: Journey #13 Aug, 1984. Nice except for small chunk in bottom left corner.
  16. Neil Gaiman does some great stuff also. The more I read from him the deeper I get hooked.
  17. +1 on this. Also it's a few years back but I really LOVE Fables. And this is from a Marvel Zombie (sort of). The America's Best Comics line is fun too. Particularly Tom Strong.
  18. You're right.I was going by faulty memory for the year.Wasn't paying a lot of attention to the prices & just caught the 20c in the circle and that the next issue was different.I have even searched ebay for that issue not that long ago.Ah well
  19. I never read many War Comics but have recently fallen in love with the Severin covers( also the Kull series).I did have this particular issue back in the day and read it.It has always stuck with me and one of these days I'll re-acquire it.Great series by the way. It's a shame it didn't get a 25 cent issue between the 15 & 20c run. That's a nice little set to chase from 1973.
  20. I have a full run of the regular size comics.Never collected the mini's though. But like you said,I found them everywhere.
  21. Awesome books.I love the art style from this time period & wish I could get motivated to be interested in them enough to read & really enjoy them. From what I have learned about the Wizard of Oz, the books are quite a bit darker than the movie.
