  1. My former copy. It's the only copy (of the 4 in grade) with white pages. Doug had it CPR (shocker !) but came back same grade, same PQ. As an FYI, it had gone to auction on Pedigree last year and "sold" for 5K. Seeing as how Doug had paid much more for it, I knew it would show up at auction again. Et voila.
  2. The seller was no doubt ComicLink (owned by them)
  3. My guess is that the 7.0 on HA will also close around the 100K mark. It's a 71 with 2 days to go.
  4. The grading experts (CGC) gave it a 7.0 because they felt it deserved the grade. Was graded last year, a year particularly known for being a tighter grading year.
  5. $324,226 on the AC1. Not a full day has gone by. Tracker bids. *yawn*
  6. For 100K I'd reserve myself to a low grade Tec 31, but that's just me.
  7. Nope. I prefer the CC copy. But hey, we each have our preferences.
  8. The ComicConnect 7.0 copy is nicer than the ComicLink 7.0 copy. If anything it is the ComicLink copy that is more a 6.5.
  9. I know! I just put in a $2.00 bid and I'm the high bidder!! Hope you win it. Send Vincent an email. Tell him he can end the auction early.
  10. ComicLink 7.0 this year http://comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3DAmazing%2BFantasy%26GO2%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB&id=1210851 Personally, I prefer the ComicConnect copy that just sold.
  11. I'm pretty sure 7.0s were fetching a LOT more than 100K this year. 1 example: From HighGradeComics Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 7.0 F/VF $130,000 SOLD
  12. I think they were going 115-125 ? Not really sure.
  13. I wouldn't say that. Just weaker results. 6.5 @ 67K, 7.0 @ 100K
  14. Action 1 8.0 Conserved at 252K after like 30 min
  15. Not a particularly strong sale. Nice copy though. 100K for a 7.0 https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=750774 Happened over the last week.
  16. Speaking of restored, anyone notice there are less IGB copies making the scene ? The ones floating around are from past auctions that no one wants to hold on to.
  17. The guy who bought the NG copy will no doubt be bidding on Adam's copy.
  18. https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=727870 This book has come a long way in hammer price since it was first offered.
  19. I'm going to jump in. The HA coverless Tec 27 belongs to Adam. He offered it last year on the boards with a 50K price tag. No takers. Well, almost. It will likely fetch that asking price or thereabouts in less than 5 days.
  20. I am more assured then, that resto artists have raised their standards and have set restrictions to what can and will be restored. I wouldn’t even dream of restoring anything above 1.5
  21. Yeah, you’re most probably right Harold. Shame how times have changed and stigma of a restored book what it is.
