  1. So in other words, market manipulation to a certain degree.
  2. Umm ... Direct Message DM ... PM ... different name , same thing.
  3. Hulk 1 9.0 in ComicLink's auction starting next week. http://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fpreview.asp%3Fcode%3D2017may%26pg%3D14%23Item_1181820&id=1181820
  4. +1 Yes indeed, as your father's name will continue to live on in comic book history long after all of us have gone to the big LCS in the sky. +1
  5. He will probably see your question, Peter; but he started this thread where he shared he is the son and some other details - https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/414155-planet-comics-53-recil-macon-pedigree/#comment-9745654 Thank you. Will have some reading to do later on tonight.
  6. Many of us have Billy Wrights in our collections now. I am super happy with the ones I have. Thank you Billy Wright for not bogarting 'em all for yourself!
  7. How come this is still here !? This is a top 20 GA KEY ! I'd grab it if I didn't already own a copy.
  8. Peter, I am glad you put the Bible first, however, I am concerned about you listing AF15 as the second most important work ever published. Let's be honest, without Action 1, it is hard to believe there ever would have been an AF15 (or any other man in tights). This is NOT to say that AF15 should not hold a very high place on the "Most important published works list" (if such a list exists). I am just not clear how you can put it in at #2, my friend. Only part I meant was about the Bible. My post was a at SC22 .
  9. The IGB books continue their trend towards the garbage bin. Fantastic 3 9.2 sold for $20,500 http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=715475 (given initial price paid plus time put in plus slabbing ... not much of a return imo)
  10. 35-40K Given how most of the early Actions did not have much movement at all during or prior to the extended auction bidding time period yesterday, this classic pre-Robin 'Tec cover just might not even hit the $35K bottom estimate here. I guess it's just a matter of time before we find out. Tec 35 closed at 33K IGB copy at 24.5
  11. with those rusty staples ? Any chance the book might have sold for more if the rusty staples had been replaced with clean vintage staples from that same time period. Of course, the book would then be sitting with a Conserved label, as opposed to a Universal unrestored label. Not if it slipped thru CGC checks. Wouldn't be a first. But always a risk.
