  1. Those little square one time use eyeglass cleaners. When you get smuges on your eyeglasses you use them. I forgot what they are called. They are damp enough to clean the font and back of a case. These things
  2. 22-25k which means if this auction pops 30k this book is still hot as fire.
  3. A 9.8 is up there with 20+ bids at $3k. A lot look shillish, but there were a few high feedback bidders near that 3k mark. Christmas shopping? The series is putting me to sleep.
  4. I saw it. You posted a scan of a CBCS book. Guess that's no bueno around these parts. -J. I did a side by side of the 66k 7.5 and the 48k 7.5 so people could see the differences in eye appeal. There was also a reference to buy the book, not the grade. Someone who paid that 48k bought the book and not the grade. I'm not sure of these vague rules. That was far from an "promoting their competitors". I'm assuming like you mentioned, going forward, a slab is a no-no.
  5. Wow, it's at $70k now! Holy cannoli That's alot of pastry my friend.... One year and a 60% bump in price. Not bad! And it was cream'ish Sold March 2013 for 47k and just closed at 75k.
  6. Is this the entire scan? It's been cut down to the size of the old "TV Guide". ?!?!?
  7. 60 is the first "Teen Titans" as named, but DC, readers, and most recognizes 54 as the first Teen Titans. This is like the 180 and 181 debate; sort of. It's also like meeting someone for the first time and not getting their until the second time you meet them. When you finally get their name you can't claim it was the first time you've met them. I hope that made sense. I'm loaded with Benadryl. Kids and Daycares seem to be a new adventure every week. At this point I can do the backstroke in Ebola.
  8. With the exception of one oddball sale of a BB60, GPA on this book is around $500. It makes me wonder if the entire thread was created to pump the 9.0 auction up because it seems like this is what happened.
  9. Epson GT-20000 is what I use. I was in Staples and had seen those legal scanners. This saved me a trip and the aggravation of bringing it back. Photo removed because photobucket made it look like I was running with the camera when I took the photo. It's actually sharp and crisp raw off the scanner.
  10. If someone would part with their 8.5+ copy please let me know.
  11. FAR from a bargain. I bid strong on it being a nicer 7.5 possible 8 at auction. The seller wanted to know who the new owner was.
  12. That's really cool. Did he buy any other comics? A JIM 84 that I can remember. This one came from a drugstore in Pleasant Lake, IN.
  13. I like date stamps. Prefer the old mechanical stamp ones over written. This told me the book hit the stands on June 5, 1962 AND!!! I got to speak to the original owner who bought it that day. It went into a box and sat there for nearly 50+ years being left at home, dragged off to college, then back into a closet. Etc Etc.
  14. I broke down and bought one finally. I had two people look at it and it has a good shot at 8.0, but I wanted the book and not the grade this time. I'll probably leave it as is.
  15. Someone paying 60% GPA on a restored book as common as AF15 needs their head examined. Superman 1, Action 1, Batman 1, etc I can see paying. I think there was a Marvel 1 that went for a good penny that was restored.
  16. Isn't it generally 10% of Blue except trimming which kills the price even more?
  17. I have absolutely NO idea. Any guesses? I know one with its registration a bit off sold for 16k and that was a while ago.
  18. I got in weeks before they announced the TV show. The other 9.0 that I saw had a crooked registration. This was the best presenting copy I could find.
  19. When someone pays 150k for a Hulk 181 who knows.... I would probably go with $350-$375. I don't know how it landed a 9.6 with that ripple on the top area and the ding to the lower left.
  20. I don't think this person really wants to sell it, but like anything else, if the right number comes up then why not.
  21. Where did the odd number $959,450 come from? 5 years... Did the book really appreciate 500%? CL is saying to ignore GPA. It sold for 179k in 2009. 50% is correct. If you bid $479,724 it will reject it and I am not going to test that theory.
  22. This keeps reminding me of the 180 and 181 debate....
