Not me! I had my eye on the 14 also but went with this instead. I couldn't convince a boardie to sell me the 1st appearance of the Lizard earlier today, so i went with the 2nd appearance of him instead. I've always LOVED this cover, definitely one of my top 5 Spidey covers.

Couple of books that i have always wanted but was never able to find at the right condition/price, especially the CM #1. I've LOVED that cover since i was a little kid! Sorry, had the wrong pic up

Damn! Another SICK early spidey! I've always rather get 3,4, 5 later spideys instead of spending it all on 1 early issue but seeing these monsters you guys keep posting is making me change my thinking. Since those beauties are making me green with envy, I'm gonna have to switch up my strategy and get one! Hopefully!!!

Wow!!! Most of those books, Ive never even seen above 6.0 much less in the 9's! Speechless

The funny part is, the 1st few times i saw it at my LCS, the bite mark was covered up the way they had it against another book. You could only see the "Rare-BITE COPY" sticker and for the life of me, i couldn't figure out what the hell the B.I.T.E "pedigree" was or stood for

In hand, you can actually see the individual teeth marks. Some little booger made a very expensive bed for itself 30 years ago. What a shame!

Damn rats!!! Actually, without the rat, i wouldnt have been able to afford this back in the day.

Only 5 GA books in my collection but i got these from a collection that i bought about 9 years ago. All in pretty decent shape and seemingly unrestored.

1 of only 5 GA books that i own but this is the nicest. It has a small tear where something hit it in the middle of the cover or it would be REALLY sharp. Still, without question one of my favorite books in my collection!

Thanks! I really liked the cover also which was why i went with it instead of getting some more X-men to complete my run. Here's a few pics of my TTA #2 that i got back in the early-mid 90's. My LCS put that sticker on there as a joke. It sat there FOREVER until i bought it for $5 during a 50% off sale in probably '93 or 94. Up close, you can literally see the damn vermins individual teeth marks!

I was never a big fan of FF growing up but they've been growing on me lately so i decided to start my run with a few pickups in the November CL auction. I really wanted the 9.0 14 also but went too high for me so went with these instead.

Agreed on the Nick Fury 6! I'm not a Fury guy at all but just had to get this during the October CL auction because i thought the cover was so cool. I dont think i had ever seen the cover before but couldnt stop looking at it during the auction

Here's my one and only slabbed TTA that i just got. I gotta dig up and take a pic of my TTA #2 that i got like 15 years ago for $5. It's a pretty nice copy except for about 1 inch on the bottom that was very clearly chewed off by a rat!

Sick, sick, SICK JiM 112 My LCS has a pretty nice copy(7.0ish) thats a STEAL but i keep dreaming of getting my hands on one as nice as yours so i cant pull the trigger on the 7.0.

Thanks all! You have no idea how many times i stressed myself out over the last 10 years convinced it was restored and would come back with a dreaded purple label if i ever got it slabbed! I must have taken it out about 500 times this weekend just to hold it and look at it. It's REALLY nice to have it back with that beautiful blue label!

Sorry about that! The 52 really wasnt even on my radar but after the near miss on the 14, i had to drown my sorrows with something! I really only went as high as i did because the 48 went alot lower than i was prepared to spend on it and even with whatever is at the top, i thought the 52 had a REALLY nice looking cover. Maybe i'll make it up to you by taking down your FF 14 for you, any chance you could post or PM me a link to it?
