  1. "hore head"? Did you mean "Whore Head" or "Horn Head"?
  2. For a guy named Bullseye.... he sure doesn't know how to hold a dart.
  3. Rob Leifeld himself is laughing at how poorly that arm is drawn.
  4. Hypothetically speaking...... what if you took some "age appropriate" staples and threaded them thru the holes? I think it would get a 7.0 Blue label Like this...... I see a 7.0 green label or a 5.0 blue label. This is not a valuable comic so luckily it's not a huge dilemma. What if this was a Hulk 181 though? Yikes, what to do?
  5. Trapped in a giant Anthill.... and yet.... our heroes just happen to find the friendly compassionate giant ants. WTF?
  6. Piltdown Men? One of the greatest debunked hoaxes ever. I find it funny they used that term, but.... I guess it was still considered solid science at the time this comic came out.
  7. Impressive grade. When ever I see "pieces added" on a comic like this I wonder what percentage of the cover is original.
  8. I call your Action 1 "blank" margin pieces, and raise you with my front cover pieces from Spiderman 1.
  9. If you have it and can send it my way it would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Yes, now that I look back at it....... it's not "a little foxing" I'm glad the front cover doesn't have it.
  11. I'm going to go slightly higher than others and say that after a press & clean it will get a 6.5 - 7.0
  12. Pretty nice copy except for a 1" split at the top of spine & a little foxing on the back cover.
  13. I'm looking for grade opinions AND recommendations of what you would do with this one. It would have been higher grade except.... for a 2-1/4" tear in the upper right corner. Thankfully the corner is still attached (it could have easily been completely torn off). So what do you think the grade would be like this? And.... what do you think? Possibly have it "conserved" with a little archival tape on the inside cover?
  14. "Your bound to find hundreds of exciting and unusual uses for me"
  15. Captain Britain 1 came out the week of Oct 13 1976. I was just snapping some pics for ebay of some UK Spidey comics I'm selling. I noticed in the 3 weeks leading up to the release of CB1 these UK Spidey comics ran ads for Captain Britain. Question: When 1st appearances are in an ad..... is that a thing? Do you think they're worth holding on to? Super Spiderman 189 has the image at the top left. It doesn't even name him yet and just has a silhouette. Super Spiderman 190 has the image at the bottom left. It names him and has better art. Super Spiderman 191 Nice looking full color back cover. Captain Britain 1 comes out the next week. Collectable??? Yes or no?
  16. Finished it a couple days ago. Really liked a lot of aspects about it. But.... too many unanswered questions made it frustrating. Kind of like watching "Lost" where questions kept piling up and never got resolved. Great Sci-Fi elements. LOTS of elements that paralleled the Alien movies. I definitely recommend it.
  17. I'd love to find a full interior to Detective 13.
  18. Superman Picture Puzzles 1940 Saalfield #1504 These Superman "tray puzzles" seem to be tougher to find than the regular 1940 superman jigsaw puzzles. This one has 3 puzzles that correspond to Action comics covers 17 & 21, plus the cover to Superman 4. All 3 are missing pieces but have hand painted repro pieces to complete the puzzles. Action 17 cover puzzle has 2 replaced pieces Superman 4 cover puzzle has 4 replaced pieces Action 21 cover puzzle has 14 replaced pieces Box is complete but in poor condition. One side strip is has fallen off. $299 shipped
