  1. I was taking a bunch of pics for my ebay auctions and ran across this interesting THOR 150. The insides have been stapled in backwards, so my Splash page is the centerfold and my centerfold is the Splash page. These are always fun to find. Of course now I'm not sure what to do with it. Should I just sell it as is, or can I get a premium for it?
  2. It's hard to tell for sure but that Flash 105 looks pretty sweet. Are those are stains on the spine or shadows. That comic alone might be a $3k to $6k comic if it's a 6.0-7.0.
  3. Flyingdonut gave me this advice for buying a collection. I thought it was pretty good: "Go through it all. Estimate the big keys at 75% of Guide. If these are all Marvels, 50% of Guide for any first appearances. All other books $2 each. Add that price all up, deduct 10%, and that's your number."
  4. Mattereaterlad, it's been over half a year. What did you finally decide to do with your AF15?
  5. SOLD Skeleton Hand 1 CGC 9.2 (only 1 higher on the census)
  6. SOLD Green Lantern 76 - Raw 3.5ish - unrestored
  7. Rules No HOS or Probation menbers Shipping: Raw = $5 , Slabs = $15. (I'll combine for multiple comics) 1st posted in the thread will always win it regardless of any PMs. PayPal ok for total sales under $1000. Personal checks, or USPS money orders for total sales $1000 or higher. Returns for refund ok on raw comics within 14 days of receiving. I must get them back from you in the same condition I sent them. You pay shipping on returns (unless I described something wrong) . Slabs are non refundable.
  8. What is stupider here? that DD is using a sight for shooting, or that DD's "wooden" club can become a rifle. (I thought it shot out a line that he could swing on?) And why doesn't "genius" Reed Richards have some simple doohickey in his pocket that can take the drone down?
  9. Good find. I don't know that it looks much like Stan, but the intent is that it's a caricature of him.
  10. This is EXACTLY what I was looking to have answered when I started this thread. VERY interesting. Looking at the totals for each comic really lets you know what was popular at the newstand. Thanks for posting!
  11. It's like one inker inked the right breast and then "Tag" the next inkers shift started and he inked the left breast.
  12. Here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ftrt=901&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_sop=12&_sadis=15&_byseller=1&_stpos=30519-8140&_odkw=&_saslop=1&_fss=1&_dmd=1&_sofindtype=0&_sasl=gadzukes&_osacat=0&_ipg=200&_ftrv=1&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.Xcgc.TRS0&_nkw=cgc&_sacat=0 Here's what's being auctioned, all of them are WAY below GPA so there could be some deals to be had. Batman 251 8.0 (Neal Adams Joker) Adventure 210 1.8 (1st Krypto) Daredevil 131 9.6 (Bullseye) Justice League of America 1 3.5 TOS 49 7.0 TOS 53 8.0 (Black Widow) TOS 48 7.5 Archie 47 4.0 Doctor Solar 1 7.0 FF 9 3.5 FF 7 4.0 FF 24 7.5 FF 29 8.0 Jungle Action 5 8.0 Transformers 1 9.2 ASM 100 5.0 Conan 2 8.5
  13. What's his super power? Taking his shoes off, shuffling across a carpet in his socks and then touching you? Pretty scary stuff.
  14. Hmmmm...... can they frame an entire season 2 around "What happened to Lube man?"
  15. Snap a nice pic of the indicia. Have it graded. Tape the photo of the Indicia onto the back of the slab. I have an AF15 UK 7.0 that Stan Lee signed when he went to a Con in London back in the 70s. He signed it on the Splash Page. I took a photo of his sig and keep it with the slab for the day that I will sell it. It's not a SS slab, but they did put "Signed 'Stan Lee' on the splash page" on the label.
  16. Would someone with knowledge of this comic please explain the plot. Why didn't Supergirl hold her breath when she jumped in? Did she lose her powers? Suicide? Why are all the other superheroes walking away?
  17. Still... the question is WHY????? Plus, you have to depress the nozzle to make it spew air. How does that work looking at that panel?
  18. One of the problems with this panel is.... The Bear is SMILING! This is not "The Revenant", this is Gentle Ben kissing his master.
  19. You found it in the UK, so you gotta check that. Usually Miller would put an ink stamp on the front. That's why I think yours is kind of unique. Plus the fact that it's a cents copy and not a pence copy, but still has the Miller indicia. Might be a VERY unique comic. Marwood will know. Once you find out, post it here.
  20. I'm confused. Is batgirl using the tire because it has high pressure? Or.... I don't get it???? In the 1st panel why are all the people walking away?
